110,000 paying visitors and guests came to the Dakar Village in Lima during the three-day scrutineering process. The 477,950 soles (USD 187,615) raised over these three days will be donated to the Peruvian FE Y ALEGRÃA association, which works to provide those in need with an education.
The Peruvian Goverment, will hand this cheque to the FE Y ALEGRÃA association tomorrow, January 6, at 11 am in the Peru area of the Pisco bivouac.
FE Y ALEGRÃA was launched in 1966 and founded five schools in underprivileged neighbourhoods of Lima. It provides educational programmes for children and teenagers with a view to helping them to join a school and then the labour market.
