Si è svolta mercoledì sera, presso la Cantina Col Vetoraz di S. Stefano di Valdobbiadene (Treviso), la presentazione del Team CMC, la prima squadra italiana che parteciperà al Mondiale Enduro di Mountain Bike.
La divisa da gara di questa nuova formazione trevigiana è stata firmata da RPM, il giovane brand di Montebelluna specializzato nella produzione di abbigliamento tecnico sportivo. Per l’occasione, gli sponsor del Team e i media hanno potuto ammirare due diverse tipologie di Jersey, entrambe caratterizzate dalle tradizionali colorazioni della squadra: l’arancione e il grigio. RPM ha realizzato e prodotto per il Team CMC sia la maglia da Enduro, che quella da ciclismo su strada. La squadra prenderà parte a 5 prove mondiali su 8, oltre alle principali gare del calendario nazionale, regionale e triveneto. Il debutto in gara del Team CMC è fissato per fine marzo (19/20 marzo) nella prova di Coppa Italia Superenduro di Massa Marittima (GR) in Toscana. La prima prova mondiale invece sarà il 15 maggio a Wicklow in Irlanda, poi la squadra volerà anche in America ad Aspen, nello Stato del Colorado per la gara del 30/31 luglio.

Cos’è l’Enduro? E’ una nuova dimensione della mountain bike. Una vero e proprio bike-style, una filosofia del tutto nuova e originale di vivere il mondo offroad della bicicletta. Proveniente dal mondo aglosassone questo sport si sta diffondendo sempre di più anche in Italia. I praticanti sono tutti molto giovani e vivono questo sport muovendosi, incontrandosi e facendo nuove esperienze come una crew delle ruote grasse, sullo stile delle tribù del surf o dello snowboard per fare paragoni con altri sport.??Le biciclette da enduro sono un ibrido tra la normale mtb biammortizzata da cross-country e una bicicletta da downhill, insomma delle bici all-mountain molto leggere, pratiche da guidare e altamente performanti. ??
-A livello turistico/amatoriale, l’enduro permette di andare alla scoperta della natura e dell’ambiente in totale libertà affrontando tratti di pianura, salite e ripide discese. Percorrere sentieri, ma anche andare fuori pista su terreni difficili e accidentati. La zona del Monte Cesen (tra Segusino e Valdobbiadene), che è la base e palestra naturale dei piloti del Team CMC, con i suoi percorsi tracciati e tabellati, diventa la zona ideale per chi vuole praticare e avvicinarsi a questo sport.??
-A livello agonistico/racing le prove di enduro si compongono, come per l‘enduro in motocicletta, di alcune prove cronometrate intervallate da dei tratti di trasferimento sullo stile dei raid in moto. Ci sono gare di livello regionale, nazionale e internazionale (il mondiale EWS appunto).

The brand from Montebelluna will be technical partner for TEAM CMC
On Wednesday evening, the Cantina Col Vetoraz establishment in S. Stefano di Valdobbiadene (Treviso) hosted the presentation for Team CMC, the first Italian squad that will participate in the Mountain Bike Enduro World Series. The racing uniform for this new formation from Treviso has been designed by RPM, the young brand from Montebelluna specialized in the production of technical clothing. On this occasion, the Team sponsors and the media got the chance to check out two different types of jerseys, both featuring the team’s traditional colours: orange and grey. For Team CMC, RPM came up with the Enduro jersey as well as their jersey for road cycling. The team will take part in 5 out of 8 World Series tests, in addition to the major races on the national, regional and Tri-Veneto calendars. Team CMC’s racing debut is set for the end of March (19th/20th March), in the Superenduro competition called Coppa Italia (Italian Trophy) to be held in Massa Marittima (GR), Tuscany. For Team CMC their first World Series test will be on May the 15th, in Wicklow, Ireland; then the team will fly to Aspen, in the American state of Colorado, for the race there on July 30th/31st.

What is Enduro? It’s a new dimension in mountain biking; nothing less than a bike-style, an all-new, original philosophy for experiencing the world of off-road cycling. Although it has Anglo-Saxon roots, this sport is becoming increasingly widespread in Italy as well. Compared with other sports, this is an activity that attracts a following made up of very young bike buffs who like to move around, meet up and experience new things, a sort of fat tyre crew, modelled after surfing or snowboarding tribes. ??Enduro bikes are a hybrid between a normal MTB – with double cross country shock absorbers – and a downhill bike; basically it’s a very light, all-mountain bike that is easy to ride and high performing. ??
-For tourists and enthusiasts, the enduro allows the rider to discover nature and the environment in complete freedom, taking on flat terrain, climbs and steep downhills. You can follow trails, but also venture beyond the beaten path onto more challenging, unpredictable surfaces. The area around Monte Cesen (between Segusino and Valdobbiadene) serves as a natural gym for the riders on Team CMC, with its well charted and marked tracks. It is the perfect place for anyone who wants to get to know this sport.??
-On a racing/competitive level, enduro trials follow the model of motorcycle enduro events, which feature a few interspaced time trials as well as transitional stretches in a raid style. Competitions include regional, national and international races (like the EWS).
