Sweden’s Emil Skaras and the Energy Corse team have confirmed their European KZ2 Championship win by mounting the third step of the podium of the International Super Cup, a true World Cup in this difficult category, which again assembled a field of more than 120 drivers at the Lonato circuit.
The entire Energy Corse-TM Racing team is more than ever a famous benchmark in high level international races.
Skaras ignites the Final
In the presence of the world’s best KZ2 drivers, all the manufacturers and teams were in the starting blocks on Lonato’s famous South Garda Karting circuit for the big event of the season. In these particularly competitive conditions, perfection was needed to hope to get on the podium and the Energy Corse team was in control of the situation thanks to the huge amount of work done. The performance of the equipment never faltered during this demanding meeting, the technical staff played their role admirably and Emil Skaras exploited this competitiveness perfectly.
“It was an extremely difficult race,” admitted the Swedish driver. “After having achieved 3rd in Qualifying, my run in the heats was impeccable with three wins and three 2nd places! Starting on the front row in the Final, I knew that victory was possible. I also managed to take the lead and I hoped to win the Cup for Energy Corse, who have already won in the past. But the situation got tense in the next corner and I lost some places. I remained focused and managed to win my place on the third step of the podium. I would like to thank the Energy Corse team who provided me with a really effective chassis and Galiffa Tuning for its high performance TM Racing engines. European Champion and 3rd in this great world race is beautiful!”
Brilliantly qualified in the Final, his compatriot Isack Sjokvist unfortunately had to retire early in the race, while the Italian Moritz Ebner and Estonian Kaspar Kallasmaa gained a lot of experience at this meeting.
Results at all levels
In previous weeks, the Energy Corse team also distinguished itself several times. At the FIA Karting World Championship at Alahärmä, the Finn Rasmus Joutsimies was one of the revelations of the OK category. He took a brilliant 5th place after the long marathon of Qualifying Heats, but an incident in the Final deprived him of an excellent result. In OK-Junior, Robert De Haan drove his Energy Corse-TM Racing to a 7th place finish after a remarkable gain of 10 places!
In the Italian Championship, Jamaican Alex Powell took another podium in the last event at Val Vibrata and finished 3rd in 60 Mini. ASD Revolution drivers Francesco Marenghi from Italy and Norway’s Marcus Saeter fought at the forefront, with Saeter even winning in Race 2. “Training young drivers is a role we have always taken very seriously,” concluded Mick Panigada, the head of Energy Corse. “Our goal is to support them so that they can climb the ladder with competitiveness and a strong mind.”

Un altro podio mondiale per Energy Corse!
Lo svedese Emil Skaras e il team Energy Corse hanno confermato il loro titolo di campione europeo KZ2 salendo sul terzo gradino del podio dell’International Super Cup, vera e propria Coppa del mondo di questa difficile categoria che ha schierato ancora una volta più di 120 piloti sul circuito di Lonato. Il kart Energy Corse-TM Racing rimane sempre un riferimento nelle gare internazionali di alto livello.
Skaras infiamma la finale
In presenza dei migliori piloti mondiali della KZ2, tutti i costruttori e tutti i team erano ai blocchi di partenza sul celebre South Garda Karting di Lonato per questo grande evento della stagione. In queste condizioni particolarmente competitive bisognava raggiungere la perfezione per sperare di salire sul podio e il team Energy Corse si è dimostrato all’altezza della situazione grazie all’enorme lavoro realizzato. La performance del kart non ha mai deluso in questo difficile meeting, lo staff tecnico ha svolto il proprio ruolo in modo ammirevole ed Emil Skaras ha perfettamente gestito questa competitività.
“È stata una gara molto difficile”, ha ammesso il pilota svedese. “Dopo aver conquistato il terzo tempo nelle prove cronometrate, il mio percorso nelle manche è stato impeccabile con tre vittorie e tre secondi posti! In finale, partendo dalla prima fila, sapevo che la vittoria era alla portata. Sono anche riuscito a passare in testa e speravo di regalare questa Coppa a Energy Corse che l’aveva già vinta in passato. Ma la situazione si è fatta tesa alla curva successiva e ho perso alcune posizioni. Sono rimasto concentrato e sono riuscito a conquistare il terzo gradino del podio. Vorrei ringraziare il team Energy Corse che mi ha fornito un telaio incredibilmente efficace e Galiffa Tuning per i motori TM Racing super performanti. Campione europeo e terzo classificato in questa grande prova mondiale, è stupendo!”
Qualificato in modo straordinario nella finale, il suo compatriota Isack Sjokvist ha purtroppo dovuto ritirarsi a inizio gara, mentre l’italiano Moritz Ebner e l’estone Kaspar Kallasmaa hanno accumulato esperienza in occasione di questo meeting.
Risultati a tutti i livelli
Nelle settimane che hanno preceduto questo importante evento Energy Corse si è distinta a più riprese. Nel Campionato del mondo FIA Karting ad Alahärmä, il finlandese Rasmus Joutsimies è stata una delle rivelazioni della categoria OK. Al termine della lunga maratona delle manche di qualificazione occupava il quinto posto, ma un incidente avvenuto in finale lo ha privato di un eccellente risultato. Nella OK-Junior, Robert De Haan ha portato il suo Energy Corse-TM Racing al settimo posto in finale dopo una straordinaria rimonta di dieci posizioni!
Nel Campionato italiano, il giamaicano Alex Powell ha conquistato un altro podio in occasione dell’ultima prova a Val Vibrata e si è aggiudicato il terzo posto finale nella 60 Mini. I piloti del team ASD Revolution, l’italiano Francesco Marenghi e il norvegese Marcus Saeter, si sono battuti nelle prime posizioni, Saeter riuscendo persino a imporsi in Gara 2. “Formare i giovani piloti è un ruolo che abbiamo sempre preso molto seriamente”, ha concluso Mick Panigada, responsabile del marchio Energy Corse. “Il nostro obiettivo è accompagnarli affinché riescano a fare carriera riuscendo a essere più competitivi e ad avere una solida condizione psicologica.”

Le Suédois Emil Skaras et l’équipe Energy Corse ont confirmé leur titre de Champion d’Europe KZ2 en escaladant la 3e marche du podium de la Super Coupe Internationale, véritable Coupe du Monde de cette catégorie si difficile, qui a encore proposé un effectif de plus de 120 pilotes sur le circuit de Lonato. L’ensemble Energy Corse-TM Racing reste plus que jamais une fameuse référence des courses internationales de haut niveau.
Skaras enflamme la finale
En présence des meilleurs pilotes mondiaux du KZ2, tous les constructeurs et tous les teams étaient dans les starting-blocks sur le célèbre South Garda Karting de Lonato pour ce grand événement de la saison. Dans ces conditions particulièrement concurrentielles, il fallait atteindre la perfection pour espérer monter sur le podium et l’équipe Energy Corse s’est montrée à la hauteur de la situation grâce à un énorme travail effectué. La performance du matériel n’a jamais été prise en défaut durant ce meeting exigeant, le staff technique a joué son rôle de manière admirable et Emil Skaras a parfaitement exploité cette compétitivité.
“Ce fut une course extrêmement difficile,” a avoué le pilote Suédois. “Après avoir réalisé le 3e chrono, mon parcours dans les manches fut impeccable avec trois victoires et trois deuxièmes places ! En partant en première ligne en finale, je savais que la victoire était envisageable. J’ai d’ailleurs réussi à passer en tête et j’espérais offrir cette Coupe à Energy Corse qui l’a déjà gagnée par le passé. Mais la situation s’est tendue dans le virage suivant et j’ai perdu quelques places. Je suis resté concentré et je suis parvenu à gagner ma place sur la troisième marche du podium. Je voudrais remercier l’équipe Energy Corse qui m’a fourni un châssis diablement efficace et Galiffa Tuning pour ses moteurs TM Racing super performants. Champion d’Europe et 3e de cette grande épreuve mondiale, c’est magnifique !”
Brillamment qualifié en finale, son compatriote Isack Sjokvist a malheureusement dû abandonner dès le début de course, tandis que l’Italien Moritz Ebner et l’Estonien Kaspar Kallasmaa auront acquis beaucoup d’expérience lors de ce meeting.

Pilotes du team ASD Revolution, l’Italien Francesco Marenghi et le Norvégien Marcus Saeter se sont battus aux avant-postes, Saeter parvenant même à s’imposer dans la Course 2. “Former les jeunes pilotes est un rôle que nous avons toujours pris très au sérieux,” a conclu Mick Panigada, le responsable de la marque Energy Corse. “Notre objectif est de les accompagner pour qu’ils puissent gravir les échelons avec une meilleure compétitivité et un mental renforcé.”
