The very first initiative for detecting young talent launched by Richard Mille last year, in close collaboration with Birel ART, was a true success.
The Richard Mille Young Talent Academy is already preparing for its second edition, which will take place on 3rd, 4th and 5th December 2019 at the Bugatti Le Mans circuit with 18 young drivers from all over the world.
An incredible opportunity for Birel ART drivers
The uniqueness of the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy is that it is open, free of charge, to all Birel ART drivers without discrimination other than by their own abilities. This unique detection of young talent opens up new opportunities for young racers who want to succeed in single-seaters, as Ronni Sala, President of Birel ART, explains: “This is a real bridge between karting and cars, and we are the only ones to offer it thanks to the support of the Richard Mille brand. Selected through our global network, 18 drivers between the ages of 14 and 18 were chosen according to their potential.
An F4 season to be won
On 3rd, 4th and 5th December, these 18 young people from 16 nations on five continents will meet on the famous Bugatti Le Mans circuit for the active phase of the RMYTA, season 2, for two days to evaluate their physical and mental capacities, as well as their driving skills in FIA F4 single-seaters. A jury of eminent specialists will then select the winner and offer them the opportunity to launch their career in single-seaters by competing for free in the 2020 FIA French F4 Championship.
In the footsteps of Enzo Valente
Winner in December 2018 of the 1st edition of the RMYTA, the Frenchman Enzo Valente had the chance to have a very formative season this year in the French F4 Championship. Author of several brilliant achievements, he notably won a major victory at the Grand Prix de Pau. Close to the top 5 in the final FIA ranking, he now has solid experience for the rest of his career in single-seater racing.

Since its creation, the prestigious watch brand Richard Mille has supported great sportspeople, particularly car drivers such as Charles Leclerc. “There is a strong synergy between the watches we manufacture and motor racing. Richard Mille Young Talent Academy : 18 pilotes retenus pour la 2e édition
La toute première opération de détection de jeunes talents lancée par Richard Mille l’an dernier, en étroite collaboration avec Birel ART, a connu un réel succès. La Richard Mille Young Talent Academy prépare d’ores et déjà sa deuxième édition qui aura lieu les 3, 4 et 5 décembre 2019 sur le circuit Bugatti du Mans en présence de 18 jeunes pilotes du monde entier.
Une chance incroyable pour les pilotes Birel ART
La singularité de la Richard Mille Young Talent Academy est d’être ouverte gratuitement à tous les pilotes Birel ART sans distinction autre que leurs capacités personnelles. Cette détection, unique en son genre, de jeunes talents ouvre de nouvelles perspectives aux jeunes kartmen désireux de réussir en monoplace, comme le précise Ronni Sala, Président de Birel ART : « Il s’agit d’une véritable passerelle entre karting et automobile que nous sommes les seuls à proposer grâce au soutien de la marque Richard Mille. Sélectionnés à travers notre réseau mondial, 18 pilotes âgés de 14 à 16 ans ont été retenus en fonction de leur potentiel ».
Une saison en F4 à gagner
Les 3, 4 et 5 décembre prochains, ces 18 jeunes en provenance de 16 nations des cinq continents se retrouveront sur le fameux circuit Bugatti du Mans pour la phase active de la RMYTA, saison 2. Ils seront évalués pendant deux jours sur leurs capacités physiques et mentales, ainsi que sur leur talent de pilote au volant de monoplaces F4 FIA. Un jury composé d’éminents spécialistes désignera ensuite le vainqueur et lui offrira l’occasion de lancer sa carrière en monoplace en disputant gratuitement le Championnat de France F4 FIA 2020.
Sur les traces d’Enzo Valente
Lauréat en décembre 2018 de la 1re édition de la RMYTA, le Français Enzo Valente a eu la chance de pouvoir effectuer une saison très formatrice cette année dans en Championnat de France F4. Auteur de plusieurs coups d’éclat, il a notamment remporté une victoire marquante lors du Grand Prix de Pau. Tout proche du top 5 au classement final FIA, il possède maintenant une solide expérience pour la suite de sa carrière en monoplace.
Des partenaires de renom
La prestigieuse marque de montres Richard Mille accompagne depuis sa création des grands sportifs et notamment des pilotes automobiles comme Charles Leclerc. « Il existe une forte synergie entre les montres que nous fabriquons et la compétition automobile. Je suis ravi que notre société ait la possibilité de jouer un rôle actif dans l’éclosion de jeunes talents aux côtés de Birel ART », déclarait Richard Mille. « Il est très important pour nous de soutenir la prochaine génération et de mettre en lumière dès aujourd’hui les stars de demain.
