This year, the Christmas campaign has included three promotional initiatives designed to boost the city as a destination along with its retail offer, cultural attractions and food.
Firstly, we ran our yearly winter campaign, with the slogan Barcelona, a city for sharing, so that visitors ? mainly those from the North American, UK, French and German markets ? and the public as a whole, could enjoy and share their experiences through the city?s main distinguishing features.
Secondly, we launched a new Bus Turístic service consisting of a night-time tour of the streets in the centre of Barcelona and their Christmas lights. The Barcelona Christmas Shopping Night Tour, featuring on-board commentary detailing the most typical Catalan festive traditions, has been a success among visitors and locals alike. The 90-minute tour will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 4th January.
The third initiative was an innovative advertising campaign to promote the city and the city centre in particular.
