ALIA GUAGNI AL SEATTLE

Seattle 12th , February 2013 – Hereby PH-America company is pleased to announce the player Alia Guagni, on loan from ACF Firenze.

CAREER. She was born in Florence on October 1st, 1987. When she was a child, she started to play with the Galluzzo male team then she arrived to ACF Firenze where she playes for 15 seasons (1 season in Italian Serie B, 5 in Serie A2 and the rest in Serie A).
NATIONAL TEAM. She debuted in Under 19 National Team in 2002 and she played her first official UEFA game on April 4th, 2004 (Switzerland – Italy :1-4). She played for Under 19 Team up to 2006 and she participated to the Under 20 World Cup in 2004. Since the 2006 she has been called in the National Team where she played 27 games and she scored once.

“Alia Guagni is a player we have been watching for several months. She impressed us for the strength and the continuity she puts into the game”, the talent scouts say. “We are proud to have her in the team”.

Alia Guagni spoke happily about the experience: “ I think it will be a great and instructive opportunity, both for soccer and life experiences. We’ll have the chance to know a very different and in forefront world that will enable us to see women soccer as an important reality, not just a few players passion. We could face with a very different soccer and grow up from every point of view. I thanks AC Seattle PH-America for giving me this chance, and I look forward to live this experience and prove myself.”

The Head Coach Antonio Cincotta said about her: “Alia Guagni is an incredible player, with great athletic skills which allow her to get used soon to American soccer. She has margin of skills growth, too. Besides, she will be an important player for the team, because she can play in several positions.”

Alia Guagni will join the team in Seattle in the early June and will be ready for the first official game of the team.

SEATTLE, WA 12/3/13 – L’AC Seattle PH-America è lieta di annunciare l’ingaggio della calciatrice Alia Guagni, in prestito dall’ACF Firenze.

CARRIERA – Nata a Firenze il 1° Ottobre 1987, ha iniziato a giocare a calcio sin da piccola con i maschietti del Galluzzo per poi passare all’Acf Firenze con cui ha giocato per ben 15 stagioni (1 in serie B, 5 in serie A2, le altre in Serie A).
NAZIONALE – Ha esordito con la Nazionale Italiana Under 19 nel 2002 ed ha giocato la sua prima gara nelle competizioni Uefa il 20/4/2004, Svizzera-Italia 1-4. Ha giocato con la selezione di Mister Corradini fino al 2006. Nel 2004 ha partecipato al Mondiale under 20 disputato in Thailandia. Dal 2006 fa parte della Nazionale Maggiore con la quale ha collezionato 27 presenze con 1 gol.

Felice ed entusiasta, Alia Guagni ha così commentato la sua nuova esperienza: “Penso che sarà un esperienza bellissima e soprattutto molto formativa, sia da un punto di vista calcistico che di vita. Un modo per aprirsi ad un mondo completamente diverso dal nostro e molto più all’avanguardia –ha proseguito Guagni – che ci permetterà di vedere il calcio femminile come merita, ovvero come una realtà importante e non solo una passione di poche. Potremo confrontare il nostro modo di giocare e crescere sotto tutti i punti di vista. Per questo ringrazio l’AC Seattle per questa opportunità . Non vedo l’ora di vivere questa esperienza e dimostrare di esserne all’altezza”.

Così il tecnico Antonio Cincotta: “ Alia Guagni è una giocatrice strepitosa, con grandi qualità atletiche che le permetteranno di adattarsi subito ai ritmi delle statunitensi, ritengo inoltre che sotto il profilo tecnico abbia ancora margini di crescita. La Guagni pertanto sarà una delle pedine più importanti nello scacchiere tattico del Ph- America, poiché ha tra le sue doti anche quella di poter ricoprire più ruoli.

L’Atleta raggiungerà Seattle nei primi giorni di Giugno e sarà a disposizione dello Staff Tecnico già per il primo impegno ufficiale della squadra.
