Frenchman Arthur Dorison and the two British drivers, Cathal Clark and Nathan Tye Jnr, will make their international debut in OK-Junior this year in the colours of Sodikart.
In close collaboration with Sodi Racing Team manager Julien Dexmier, Jean-Philippe Guignet’s objective is above all to continue to develop the Sodi / TM Racing teams in Junior as well as to train promising young drivers during a full programme.
Two years ago, Sodikart launched an ambitious international project in OK-Junior. Evan Giltaire fulfilled his mission perfectly by taking an active part in the development of the equipment and by becoming one of the fastest at the end of last year. Satisfied with this first phase, the French factory decided to intensify its efforts alongside Jean-Philippe Guignet and his Trèfle Racing team, which will once again represent the official Sodikart team in 2021.
“The collaboration with the Sodikart factory is very positive,” explains Jean-Philippe Guignet. “We have the same vision of racing and the same motivation to bring Sodi chassis to the highest level in the non-gearbox categories. During this second stage, we will speed up the process with the involvement of three drivers in a good fifteen international competitions with the official Sodikart structure. We have chosen to put our trust in young drivers who are novices in this category, but who have already made their mark before through their speed and fighting spirit.”
One of the most promising Frenchmen
“Arthur Dorison has shown great potential over the past two seasons. French Minime Champion and winner of the NSK in 2019, he then finished 2nd in the NSK in his first season as a Cadet. He will be able to seize his chance to race in an official team together with two very combative team-mates”.
Two determined British drivers
“We thought it would be interesting to ask two young British drivers to complete the team. We have reached an agreement with Cathal Clark, winner of the X30 Mini Euro Series, and Nathan Tye Jnr, Vice British Cadet Champion and 3rd in the International Games – X30 Mini”.
Sodi and TM Racing, the story goes on
As during the two previous seasons, Cédric Sport Motors will be in charge of the preparation of the TM Racing OK-Junior engines for the three Sodikart drivers. The progress made by the Breton engine manufacturer since 2019 has been very convincing and can only benefit in the future from the presence of three drivers throughout the year.
A comprehensive programme
Sodikart’s medium-term ambitions are confirmed by the implementation of a substantial programme. The FIA Karting events of the European and World Championships will be complemented by participation in every WSK race, the preparatory Champions of the Future series and selected classics such as the Winter Cup. The team will therefore have the time it needs to develop its human and technical assets for a strong end of the season.
A young hopeful in the Mini school
Louis Cochet will have the chance to take part in international competitions in Mini with Trèfle Racing under the Sodikart structure at the wheel of a Sodi / TM, to confront the top hopefuls of tomorrow’s karting.

Trois pilotes Sodi en OK-Junior pour 2021
Le Français Arthur Dorison et les deux Britanniques, Cathal Clark et Nathan Tye Jnr, vont effectuer leurs débuts internationaux en OK-Junior cette année sous les couleurs de Sodikart. En étroite collaboration avec le manager du Sodi Racing Team Julien Dexmier, l’objectif assigné à Jean-Philippe Guignet est avant tout de continuer à développer les ensembles Sodi / TM Racing en Junior ainsi que de former des jeunes pilotes prometteurs au cours d’un programme très complet.
Depuis deux ans, Sodikart a lancé un projet international ambitieux en OK-Junior. Evan Giltaire a parfaitement rempli sa mission en participant activement au développement du matériel et en se hissant parmi les meilleurs en fin d’année dernière. Satisfaite de cette première phase, l’usine française a décidé d’intensifier ses efforts aux côtés de Jean-Philippe Guignet et de son team Trèfle Racing qui incarnera de nouveau la structure officielle Sodikart en 2021.
« La collaboration avec l’usine Sodikart est très positive », explique Jean-Philippe Guignet. « Nous avons la même vision de la course et la même motivation pour amener les châssis Sodi au plus haut niveau dans les catégories sans boîte de vitesses. Au cours de cette deuxième étape, nous allons accélérer le processus avec l’engagement de trois pilotes lors d’une bonne quinzaine de compétitions internationales sous la structure officielle Sodikart. Nous avons choisi faire confiance à des jeunes pilotes novices dans cette catégorie qui se sont déjà fait remarquer auparavant par leur rapidité et leur combativité. »
Un Français des plus prometteurs
« Arthur Dorison a révélé un fort potentiel depuis deux saisons. Champion de France Minime et vainqueur de la NSK en 2019, il a terminé ensuite second de la NSK dès sa première saison en Cadet. Il va pouvoir saisir sa chance d’évoluer dans un team officiel au contact de deux équipiers très combatifs ».
Deux pilotes britanniques déterminés
« Il nous a paru intéressant de faire appel à deux jeunes Anglais pour compléter l’équipe. Nous avons trouvé un accord avec Cathal Clark, vainqueur X30 Mini Euro Series, et Nathan Tye Jnr, Vice Champion britannique Cadet et 3e des International Games – X30 Mini ».
Sodi et TM Racing, l’histoire continue
Comme pendant les deux saisons précédentes, c’est Cédric Sport Motors qui assurera la préparation des moteurs TM Racing OK-Junior des trois pilotes Sodikart. La progression réalisée par le motoriste breton depuis 2019 a été très convaincante et ne pourra que bénéficier à l’avenir de la présence de trois pilotes tout au long de l’année.
Un programme très complet
Les ambitions à moyen terme de Sodikart se confirment à travers la mise en place d’un programme étoffé. Les épreuves FIA Karting du Championnat d’Europe et du Championnat du Monde seront complétées par une participation à toutes les courses de la WSK, aux épreuves de la série Champions of the Future préparatoires et à certaines classiques comme la Winter Cup. L’équipe aura donc le temps nécessaire pour développer ses atouts humains et techniques en vue d’une belle fin de saison.
Un jeune espoir à l’école du Mini
Louis Cochet aura la chance de participer aux compétitions internationales en Mini avec Trèfle Racing sous la structure Sodikart au volant d’un Sodi / TM pour se confronter aux meilleurs espoirs du karting de demain.
