Juan Manuel Correa – Austrian G.P. Fia Formula 3: the goal is the podium

Juan Manuel Correa - Francia 2021

The American driver Juan Manuel arrives with charged batteries to a demanding circuit, but a track he likes a lot.

This weekend, within the Austrian F1 G.P. weekend, Juan Manuel Correa will compete with the ART team in the third round of the season, out of the seven races of the FIA F3 calendar.

The usual three races will be held as support event for Formula 1, which will have its second consecutive race in the Austrian track, this time under the official name of Austrian Grand Prix.

Juan Manuel had already driven on this circuit for the official F3 tests for two days last April and finished in the top ten, so we can be optimistic about this new challenge on a track with ups and downs, very punishing kerbs and where getting some rest is almost impossible, as the straight is not too long, and the track is one of the shortest on the calendar, which requires a real physical effort.

From that point of view, Juan Manuel has improved a lot since then and he is one of the usual candidates for the points, although his aim is more than just scoring points.

This is how Juan Manuel Correa sees this weekend:

“I like this track a lot and the goal for the weekend is to be in the top eight in qualifying, score points in every race and even fight for a podium. That is my goal. To that end, we have worked a lot with ART to improve the details that have damaged us in some of the previous races. We have recharged our batteries and I am ready to fight for another weekend”.
