Whether in Italy, on the Iberian Peninsula or in Sweden in the Nordic countries, the Energy Corse team continues to do wonders. Already winner of the Champions of the Future Winter Series in Franciacorta, then fighting for victory in the opening round of the 2022 European OK Championship in Portimao, Tomass Stolcermanis has this time climbed to the third step of the podium in FIA Karting in Kristianstad. The Energy Corse team has once again confirmed its great competitiveness at the highest international level.
Trophy collection has continued for the Energy Corse drivers from the beginning of the season onwards. “The preparation of the equipment, the working methodology that we apply during Free Practice and the races, as well as the relationships that we maintain with the drivers, allow us to be reactive and to offer the best possible package at each meeting,” said Mick Panigada, the team manager. “I have to thank our technical staff, led by Luigina Gerrini and Simone Sorio, as well as our engine builder GFR for this. We have good drivers, but we also know that the standard of FIA Karting is extremely high and that the gaps are so small that a race can quickly turn one way or the other. This time, the podium awaited us, which is very rewarding for the whole team.”

In OK, Tomass Stolcermanis was very fast from the beginning of the meeting on the selective Swedish track of Kristianstad. 4th in the Timed Qualifying, the young Latvian won three heats and confirmed his form by winning the Super Heat with the fastest lap. The place on the outside of the front row is not always the best and Tomass lost three places at the start of the Final, before coming back brilliantly to 3rd position at the chequered flag. Although Tomass Stolcermanis could regret the penalty he received in April in Portugal (incorrect position of the front fairing) which deprived him of the win, the Energy Corse driver was delighted to move up to 6th position in the provisional European Championship ranking, with the possibility of going for the overall podium in July in Franciacorta!
Singaporean Akshay Bohra, who had made a spectacular recovery from 28th to 12th place two weeks earlier in the Champions of the Future Euro Series, was one of the fastest drivers in Free Practice at Kristianstad. Unfortunately, the Qualifying session relegated him to the second half of the table. “Two tenths faster could have put him in the top ten in the time trials, which would have changed the face of his meeting,” said Mick Panigada.
Ups and downs for the young hopefuls
In OK-Junior, the Energy Corse team recorded excellent results in the meetings leading up to the European Championship in Sweden. In FIA Karting in Zuera, Frenchman Jules Caranta achieved one of the best results of his career by finishing 5th in the Final. 14 days earlier, he had started on the front row of the Final at the Champions of the Future Euro Series, before failing to make it to the end. That day, his team-mates Andres Cardenas and Martin Molnar made great comebacks to reach the Final top 10.
These three drivers were hoping to confirm their performance on June 5th, but the races were not always favourable to them. All of them hope to take their revenge in July in Franciacorta during the final round of the European Championship. As for the Canadian Jensen Burnett and the Swiss driver Kian Fardin, they continue to progress in their first season in OK-Junior.
Un altro podio per Stolcermanis ed Energy Corse nel FIA Karting!
In Italia, nella penisola iberica o in Svezia nei paesi nordici, il team Energy Corse continua a dare spettacolo. Già vincitore della Champions of the Future Winter Series in Franciacorta, poi in lotta per la vittoria nella prova di apertura del Campionato Europeo OK 2022 a Portimao, Tomass Stolcermanis è salito sul terzo gradino del podio nel FIA Karting di Kristianstad. Il team Energy Corse conferma ancora una volta la sua grande competitività ai massimi livelli internazionali.
La collezione di trofei continua per i piloti del team Energy Corse, in giro per il mondo da inizio stagione. “La preparazione dei kart, la metodologia di lavoro che applichiamo durante le prove libere e le gare, nonché il rapporto che abbiamo con i piloti, ci permettono di essere reattivi e di offrire il miglior pacchetto possibile a ogni appuntamento”, ha tenuto a precisare il team manager Mick Panigada. “Devo ringraziare il nostro staff tecnico guidato da Luigina Gerrini e Simone Sorio, ma anche il nostro preparatore GFR. Abbiamo ottimi piloti, ma sappiamo anche che il livello del FIA Karting è estremamente alto e che i distacchi sono così ridotti che una gara può girare rapidamente in un senso o nell’altro. Questa volta ci attendeva il podio, il che è stato molto gratificante per tutta la squadra.”

Nella OK, Tomass Stolcermanis è stato molto veloce fin dall’inizio del meeting sul selettivo circuito svedese di Kristianstad. Quarto nelle prove cronometrate, il giovane lettone ha vinto tre manche e si è confermato imponendosi nella Super heat facendo segnare anche il best lap. La posizione all’esterno della prima fila non è sempre la migliore e Tomass ha perso tre posizioni alla partenza della finale, prima di rimontare brillantemente e tagliare il traguardo al terzo posto. Se Tomass Stolcermanis può rimpiangere la penalità ricevuta in aprile in Portogallo (posizione errata della carenatura anteriore) che lo ha privato della vittoria, il pilota di Energy Corse è felice di essere tornato in sesta posizione nella classifica provvisoria del Campionato Europeo, con la possibilità di salire sul podio finale a luglio a Franciacorta!
Il singaporiano Akshay Bohra, che due settimane fa ha recuperato in modo spettacolare dal 28° al 12° posto nella Champions of the Future Euro Series, è stato uno dei piloti più veloci nelle prove libere di Kristianstad. Purtroppo, le qualifiche lo hanno relegato nella seconda parte della classifica. “Due decimi di miglioramento lo avrebbero potuto far entrare nella Top-10 nelle prove cronometrate, il che avrebbe cambiato il volto del suo meeting”, ha dichiarato Mick Panigada.
Alti e bassi per le giovani speranze
Nella OK-Junior, il team Energy Corse ha ottenuto ottimi risultati nei meeting che hanno preceduto il Campionato europeo in Svezia. Nel FIA Karting di Zuera, il francese Jules Caranta ha ottenuto uno dei migliori risultati della sua carriera, finendo quinto in finale. Quattordici giorni prima era partito dalla prima fila nella finale della Champions of the Future Euro Series, per poi rimanere a bocca asciutta. Quel giorno, i suoi compagni di squadra Andres Cardenas e Martin Molnar avevano compiuto delle magnifiche rimonte per raggiungere la Top-10 finale.
Questi tre corridori speravano di confermare la loro posizione lo scorso 5 giugno, ma lo svolgimento delle gare non è stato sempre favorevole. Tutti loro sperano di prendersi la rivincita a luglio in Franciacorta durante la finale del Campionato europeo. Il canadese Jensen Burnett e lo svizzero Kian Fardin continuano a progredire nella loro prima stagione nella OK-Junior.
Encore un podium pour Stolcermanis et Energy Corse en FIA Karting !

Déjà vainqueur de la Champions of the Future Winter Series à Franciacorta, puis en lutte pour la victoire lors de l’ouverture du Championnat d’Europe OK 2022 à Portimao, Tomass Stolcermanis a cette fois escaladé la 3e marche du podium en FIA Karting à Kristianstad. L’équipe Energy Corse confirme une fois encore sa grande compétitivité au plus haut niveau international.
La collecte de trophées se poursuit pour les pilotes du team Energy Corse au fil des déplacements qu’il effectue depuis le début de la saison. “La préparation du matériel, la méthodologie de travail que nous appliquons lors des essais libres et des courses, ainsi que les relations que nous entretenons avec les pilotes nous permettent d’être réactifs et de proposer le meilleur package possible à chaque meeting,” a tenu à préciser Mick Panigada, le responsable du team. “Je dois remercier pour cela notre staff technique emmené par Luigina Gerrini et Simone Sorio, mais aussi notre motoriste GFR. Nous avons des pilotes de valeur, mais nous savons aussi que le niveau de la FIA Karting est extrêmement relevé et que les écarts sont si réduits qu’une course peut vite basculer dans un sens comme d’autre l’autre. Cette fois, c’est le podium qui nous attendait, c’est très valorisant pour toute l’équipe.”

En OK, Tomass Stolcermanis s’est montré très rapide dès le début du meeting sur le sélectif tracé suédois de Kristianstad. Quatrième des chronos, le jeune letton gagnait trois manches et confirmait en s’imposant dans la super manche avec le gain du meilleur tour. La place à l’extérieur de la première ligne n’est pas toujours la meilleure et Tomass perdait trois places au départ de la finale, avant de revenir brillamment en 3e position sous le drapeau à damier. Si Tomass Stolcermanis pouvait regretter la pénalité reçue en avril au Portugal (position incorrecte du carénage avant) qui l’a privé de la victoire, le pilote du team Energy Corse était ravi de se repositionner en 6e position au classement provisoire du Championnat d’Europe, avec la possibilité d’aller chercher le podium final en juillet à Franciacorta !
Auteur d’une spectaculaire remontée de la 28e à la 12e place deux semaines plus tôt lors de la Champions of the Future Euro Series, le Singapourien Akshay Bohra a évolué parmi les plus rapides aux essais libres à Kristianstad. En OK-Junior, le team Energy Corse a enregistré d’excellents résultats lors des meetings qui ont précédé le Championnat d’Europe en Suède. En FIA Karting à Zuera, le Français Jules Caranta a décroché l’un des meilleurs résultats de sa carrière en se classant 5e de la finale. 14 jours avant, il s’était élancé en première ligne de la finale à la Champions of the Future Euro Series, avant de manquer de réussite. Ce jour-là, ses équipiers Andres Cardenas et Martin Molnar avaient réussi de magnifiques remontées pour intégrer le top-10 final.
Ces trois pilotes espéraient confirmer le 5 juin dernier, mais le déroulement des courses ne leur a pas toujours été favorables. Tous espèrent prendre leur revanche en juillet à Franciacorta lors du final du Championnat d’Europe. Quant au Canadien Jensen Burnett et au Suisse Kian Fardin, ils continuent de progresser pour leur première saison en OK-Junior.
