Birel ART in the right rhythm in Sarno
The WSK Final Cup, the last series of the season, started at the beginning of November at the Circuito Internazionale Napoli. The new KZ S15 chassis developed for the 2023 season proved to be well conceived, allowing Giuseppe Palomba and Cristian Bertuca to put in top performances against worthy opponents. Kirill Kutskov finished his performance in OK with a superb comeback of almost 20 places in the Final and Jindrich Pesl scored his best result in OK-Junior after moving up from Mini during the year.
The first two days saw heavy rain on the Sarno track, so much so that the Qualifying Heats had to be interrupted at the height of the storm. Fortunately on Sunday, the Final stages were able to be held in the sunshine, giving the competitors a wide range of conditions.
“We are currently in a busy phase with the new chassis,” explained team manager Riccardo Longhi. “We can already be satisfied with the potential shown by the 2023 equipment. In the rain, in the dry and in intermediate conditions, our drivers were able to show an excellent level of competitiveness in all three categories. Giuseppe Palomba and Cristian Bertuca were in the thick of the battle in KZ2. 4th at the end of the Final, Palomba missed a better result due to the intensity of the racing while Bertuca came back to 5th. Both drivers are ranked in the provisional top five of the championship before the second round in Lonato next weekend. Kirill Kutskov and Harley Keeble had mixed fortunes in the OK heats. Kutskov, a recent transfer from OK-Junior, had a great Final with a gain of 18 places. Our two young drivers continued to gain experience in OK-Junior with a special mention for Jindrich Pesl, 13th in the Final with a total gain of 21 places during the meeting. We expect to see an increase in performance at the next event in Lonato”.

La WSK Final Cup, l’ultima serie della stagione, è appena cominciata all’inizio di novembre sul Circuito Internazionale Napoli. Il nuovo telaio KZ S15 sviluppato per la stagione 2023 ha dimostrato di essere nato bene, permettendo a Giuseppe Palomba e Cristian Bertuca di mettere a segno prestazioni di alto livello contro avversari di spessore. Kirill Kutskov ha concluso la sua performance nella OK con una superba rimonta di quasi venti posizioni in finale e Jindrich Pesl ha firmato il suo miglior risultato nella OK-Junior dopo aver lasciato la Mini durante l’anno.
Il meteo non favorevole dei primi due giorni è stato accompagnato da una forte pioggia sulla pista di Sarno, tanto che le manche di qualificazione hanno dovuto essere interrotte al culmine del temporale. Domenica, le finali si sono fortunatamente svolte con un tempo soleggiato, offrendo ai concorrenti un’ampia gamma di condizioni.
“Attualmente siamo in una fase di lavoro con i nuovi telai”, ha spiegato il team manager Riccardo Longhi. “Possiamo già essere soddisfatti del potenziale del kart versione 2023. In condizioni di bagnato, asciutto e intermedio, i nostri piloti sono stati in grado di mostrare un eccellente livello di competitività in tutte e tre le categorie. Giuseppe Palomba e Cristian Bertuca hanno partecipato a tutte le battaglie nella KZ2. Quarto al traguardo della finale, Palomba ha mancato un risultato migliore a causa dell’intensità della gara, mentre Bertuca è rimontato in quinta posizione. Entrambi i piloti sono nella Top-5 provvisoria del campionato prima della seconda prova di Lonato del prossimo fine settimana. Kirill Kutskov e Harley Keeble hanno avuto alterne fortune nelle manche della OK. Trasferitosi di recente dalla OK-Junior, Kutskov ha disputato una magnifica finale guadagnando 18 posizioni. I nostri due giovani piloti hanno continuato a fare esperienza nella OK-Junior con una menzione speciale per Jindrich Pesl, 13° in finale con un guadagno totale di 21 posizioni durante il meeting. Ci aspettiamo di vedere una performance migliore in occasione della prova di Lonato.”

La WSK Final Cup, dernière série de la saison, vient de commencer en ce début novembre sur le Circuito Internazionale Napoli. Le nouveau châssis KZ S15 élaboré pour la saison 2023 a prouvé qu’il était bien né en permettant à Giuseppe Palomba et Cristian Bertuca d’aligner les performances de premier plan face à des adversaires de valeur. Kirill Kutskov achevait sa prestation en OK par une superbe remontée de près de 20 places en finale et Jindrich Pesl signait son meilleur résultat en OK-Junior après avoir délaissé la Mini en cours d’année.
Le temps perturbé des deux premiers jours s’est accompagné de pluies importantes sur la piste de Sarno, au point de devoir interrompre le déroulement des manches qualificatives au plus fort de la tempête. Dimanche, les phases finales ont heureusement pu se tenir sous le soleil, offrant ainsi un large éventail de conditions aux compétiteurs.
«Nous sommes actuellement dans une phase de travail avec les nouveaux châssis», expliquait le team manager Riccardo Longhi. «Nous pouvons déjà être satisfaits du potentiel affiché par le matériel 2023. Sous la pluie, sur le sec et dans les conditions intermédiaires, nos pilotes ont été en mesure de montrer un excellent niveau de compétitivité dans les trois catégories. Giuseppe Palomba et Cristian Bertuca étaient de toutes les batailles en KZ2. 4e à l’arrivée de la finale, Palomba a manqué un meilleur résultat à cause de l’intensité de la course tandis que Bertuca revenait 5e. Nos deux pilotes sont classés dans le top 5 provisoire du championnat avant la 2e épreuve de Lonato le week-end prochain. Kirill Kutskov et Harley Keeble ont connu des fortunes diverses dans les manches OK. Récent transfuge de l’OK-Junior, Kutskov a réussi une finale magnifique avec un gain de 18 places. Nos deux jeunes pilotes ont continué à prendre de l’expérience en OK-Junior avec une mention spéciale pour Jindrich Pesl, 13e de la finale avec un gain total de 21 places pendant le meeting. Nous nous attendons à des performances en hausse lors de la prochaine épreuve de Lonato».
