Nilsson In the Lead Pack

In karting, fighting spirit is not an empty phrase and Felix Nilsson provided again ample evidence of that in Southern Italy. "In KF3, over 50 drivers can be in the same second and you always need to push as much as possible to take the lead positions. It is essential to be fast on the track, but you also need to be a fighter in order to move up the pack, where we drive very close, spoiler against spoiler", Felix confessed.
"At this level, my team, Energy Corse, really provides great support. It helps me understand that I need to push out my boundaries to gain in terms of performance. The briefing we had during free practice was very useful and I managed to improve my times for the qualifying session, where I finished 7th".
The Swedish driver maintained this gratifying position in the four qualifying heats, and even managed to move up one position before the final phase thanks to some encouraging results: 6th, 4th, 4th, and then 2nd! "In the pre-final, I made a good start and was right behind the current European KF3 Champion (Russell). I remained focused until the end of the race to avoid making mistakes and I crossed the finish line in second place, after some pretty fast times, especially towards the end of the race".
In the final race, there was a hard fight for the lead. Felix Nilsson was third on the second lap, but unfortunately things did not go as hoped for the Energy Corse driver, who suddenly lost several positions during the fight. "Throughout the weekend I was shoulder to shoulder with the favourites. All things considered it was a very positive race because I know I could do better than 9th"!
Felix Nilsson has already scored 27 points in the championship and he is 5th in the provisional classification.

Goal: To Confirm His Good Performance at Sarno

After two meetings where Felix Nilsson showed his remarkable competitiveness, the young karter is already looking forward to the second round of the WSK Master Series, to be held on 18 March again in Italy, on the circuit of Sarno near Naples. "That is where I conquered my first major international victory, at the Ayrton Senna Trophy, at the end of the 2011 season. I love the track layout and I really hope I can make it to the podium, behind the wheel of my Energy-TM", Felix concluded.
