Pharaons 2014 is on stage at El Gouna!
EL GOUNA – Three days of strong wind accompanied the 2014 Pharaons Rally first acts.
After an intense day of administrative and technical checks, this morning top drivers had to pass under the watchful eye of the Commissaries.
A busy day for everybody, waiting to let off adrenaline since the very first afternoon when the show started with the Super Special Stage by the sea, a three km track that defined tomorrow first leg starting order.
El Gouna, the wonderful “self-contained town†just a bit north from Hurgada, has magnificently welcomed Pharaons Rally caravan, hosted in Abu Tig Marina that changed for a few days its luxurious tourist harbour vocation.
Among luxurious yachts and picturesque tok-tok, small taxis riding daily in El Gouna, cars and bikes made the show starting since 3.30 pm. 36 bikes and quads were admitted to the start, as well as 15 cars.
The fastest among two wheels was actually the Polish Rafael Sonik’s quad, that realized the fastest time of 2’16’’. Behind him Venezuelan Nicolas Cardona and in third position Bolivian Juan Carlos Salvatierra.
Among cars Nasser Al-Attiyah made clear his ambition, by winning the Super Special with a time of 1’54’’ before Yazeed Al-Rajhi and Marek Dabrowski’s two Toyota.
Tomorrow the competition starts to get serious with the first stage from El Gouna to Luxor and with a Special of 221km.

EL GOUNA – Tre giorni di forte vento hanno accompagnato i primi atti del Pharaons Rally 2014. Dopo un’intensa giornata di verifiche amministrative e tecniche ieri, questa mattina è toccato ai top driver passare sotto l’occhio attento dei commissari.
Una giornata indaffarata per tutti, in attesa di scaricare l’adrenalina a partire dal pomeriggio, quando lo spettacolo è andato in scena con la Super Speciale in riva al mare, un tracciato di tre chilometri che ha definito l’ordine di partenza della prima tappa di domani.
El Gouna, la magnifica “self-contained town†poco a nord di Hurgada, ha accolto magnificamente la carovana del Pharaons Rally, ospitata ad Abu Tig Marina che per qualche giorno ha cambiato la sua vocazione di lussuoso porto turistico.
Tra lussuosi yacht e i pittoreschi tok-tok, piccoli taxi che percorrono quotidianamente El Gouna, macchine e moto hanno dato il via allo spettacolo a partire dalle 15.30. Trentasei le moto e quad ammessi alla partenza, quindici le macchine che animeranno il Pharaons 2014.
Il più veloce tra le due ruote nella Super Speciale è stato in realtà un quad, quello del polacco Rafal Sonik che ha staccato il miglior tempo di 2’16’’. Alle sue spalle il venezuelano Nicolas Cardona e in terza posizione il boliviano Juan Carlos Salvatierra.
Tra le auto Nasser Al-Attiyah ha messo subito in chiaro le sue velleità , vincendo la Super Speciale con il tempo di 1’54’’ davanti alle due Toyota di Yazeed Al-Rajhi e di Marek Dabrowski.
Domani si inizia a fare sul serio con la prima tappa, da El Gouna a Luxor e una prova speciale di 221 chilometri.

EL GOUNA – Trois jours de vent très fort ont accompagné les premiers actes du Pharaons Rally 2014. Après une intense journée de vérifications administratives et techniques, ce matin le top drivers on du passer le regard attentif des Commissaires.
Une journée occupée pour tout le monde, en attendent de décharger l’adrénaline à partir de l’après midi, quand le spectacle est commencé avec la Super Spécial par la mer; un parcours de trois km qui a défini l’ordre de départ de la première étape du demain.
El Gouna, la magnifique “self-contained town†au nord de Hurgada, a accueilli parfaitement la caravane du Pharaons Rally, hébergé à Abu Tig Marina qui a changé pour quelque jour sa vocation de luxueux port touristique.
Entre les yacht luxueux et les pittoresques tok tok, les petits taxis qui percorrent chaque jour El Gouna, les voitures et les motos ont commencé le spectacle à partir du 15.30.
Trente-six motos et quads admis au départ, quinze voitures qui animeront le Pharaons 2014.
En effet, le plus rapide entre les deux roues a été le quad du polonais Rafal Sonik qui a réalisé le meilleur temps de 2’16”.
Derrière lui, le vénézuélien Nicolas Cardona et en troisième position le bolivien Juan Carlos Salvatierra.
Entre les voitures Nasser Al-Attiyah a tout de suite déclaré ses ambitions en gagnant la Super Spécial avec le temps de 1’54’’ devant aux deux Toyota du Yazeed Al-Rajhi et du Marek Dabrowski.
Demain la compétition commence à être sérieuse avec la première étape El Gouna- Luxor et avec une épreuve spécial de 221 km.
