Advertising: Citroën surfs the road with C4 Cactus Rip Curl

It was at this year’s Geneva Motor Show that Citroën revealed its new special series model, #c4cactusripcurl, a fresh take on the #crossover that shakes up the automotive world.

The Brand makes a natural fit with Rip Curl, the surfing-gear leader, both of them developing products that are creative and technological alike. In this respect, the new model is the first Citroën to feature Grip Control, a reinforced traction system that perfectly matches the car’s eminently outdoors nature.

For the launch, Citroën has teamed up with the Les Gaulois advertising agency to create a new film, “The road is your new spot”. The ad fully reflects the sensations of freedom, release and adventure generated by surfing and by driving #c4cactusripcurl. The film stars Vincent Duvignac, a professional French surfer sponsored by Rip Curl, who explores the city in search of the perfect wave on his surfboard – or at the wheel of C4 Cactus Rip Curl!

Music-wise, after calling on the band Hyphen Hyphen for its SpaceTourer Hyphen and E-MEHARI Courrèges ads, Citroën is once again promoting the new French music scene with the song ‘Marty McFly’ by Gaspard Royant.
