Ferretti Group dà il proprio contributo ai territori del Centro Italia colpiti dal terribile sisma di questi mesi e lo fa con una straordinaria iniziativa di solidarietà, che ha avuto come protagonista il marchio Riva, mettendo all’asta un esemplare unico di Aquariva Super, realizzato appositamente nell’esclusivo colore “Blue Wonderful” e scelto personalmente da Sir Elton John.
L’asta benefica, è stata annunciata dallo stesso artista insieme all’’avvocato Alberto Galassi, Amministratore Delegato del Gruppo, in occasione della Private Preview Ferretti Group dello scorso 2 settembre a Monte Carlo.
“Il centro Italia è stato colpito da un terribile terremoto che ha causato devastazioni alle comunità locali, oggi in grave difficoltà”, furono le parole di Sir Elton John. “Come amico di Ferretti Group e armatore Riva, sono felice di sostenere l’impegno del Gruppo nell’aiutare le popolazioni di quelle regioni. Ferretti Group ha deciso di creare un’edizione speciale di Aquariva Super chiamata ‘Blue Wonderful’, a cui ho voluto dare il mio personale contributo scegliendone il colore.
I nostri cuori sono vicini a chi sta ancora soffrendo e confidiamo che il ricavato dell’asta possa contribuire a dare conforto e aiuto a chi ne ha più bisogno.”
L’asta benefica si è conclusa ieri sera allo Yacht club de Monaco durante il cocktail natalizio organizzato da Monaco Boat Service, dealer esclusivo Riva per il Principato di Monaco e la Francia.
Aquariva Super “Blue Wonderful”, esemplare unico sia nel colore che negli allestimenti interni, scelti col contributo della leggendaria popstar britannica e Officina Italiana Design – lo studio di progettazione che firma in esclusiva il design del marchio Riva -, è andato a un generoso armatore che ha chiesto di rimanere anonimo che si è aggiudicato questo capolavoro alla cifra finale di 430.000 Euro più le imposte. Il ricavato sarà interamente devoluto alla Protezione Civile Italiana per interventi di immediato sostegno alle popolazioni del centro Italia colpite dal sisma.
“Come Gruppo simbolo dell’eccellenza italiana nel settore nautico, abbiamo subito avvertito l’esigenza di dare il nostro supporto concreto ai territori duramente colpiti dal terremoto” – ha commentato al termine della splendida serata l’Amministratore Delegato del Gruppo Ferretti, Avv. Alberto Galassi.
“Abbiamo deciso di donare una delle nostre barche più belle e iconiche, Aquariva Super, resa ancora più preziosa dal genio creativo del nostro amico, ed armatore Riva, Sir Elton John che ha scelto personalmente questa versione ‘Blue Wonderful’ rendendola un esemplare unico e irripetibile.
L’intero ricavato di questa iniziativa andrà alla Protezione Civile italiana, per sostenere progetti di immediato soccorso, supporto e ricostruzione di una delle zone del Paese più belle, più ricche di cultura, storia e tradizioni. Abbiamo scelto Aquariva Super anche perché è il simbolo della straordinaria competenza produttiva dell’Italia e delle capacità uniche che caratterizzano il brand Riva e tutto il Gruppo Ferretti. La barca avrà una speciale targa commemorativa per ricordare che questo Aquariva “Blue Wonderful” è stato donato da Ferretti Group al proprio Paese.”
Ferretti Group has its own contribution to the territories of central Italy affected by the recent, terrible earthquakes. It does so with an extraordinary solidarity initiative, which stars the Riva brand, by auctioning a single, unique Aquariva Super, especially made in the exclusive “Blue Wonderful” color, chosen by Sir Elton John personally.
The charity auction was announced by the artist and Alberto Galassi, CEO of the Group, during the Ferretti Group Private Preview last September 2nd in Monte Carlo.
“The center Italy was hit by a terrible earthquake that caused devastation to local communities, that are in serious trouble now – Sir Elton John stated. “As a friend of Ferretti Group and Riva owner, I am happy to support the Group’s commitment in helping the populations of those regions acting solidarity.
Ferretti Group decided to create and auction a special edition of the Aquariva Super called ‘Blue Wonderful’, to which I give my personal contribution. Our hearts go out to those who are still suffering and we are confident that the auction proceeds will contribute to comfort and help to those who need it most.”
The charity auction ended last night at the Yacht Club de Monaco during the Christmas cocktail organized by Monaco Boat Service, the exclusive Riva dealer for the Principality of Monaco and France.
The Aquariva Super “Blue Wonderful”, the only one with the color and interior elements selected with the contribution of the legendary British pop star and Officina Italiana Design – the studio that exclusively creates the design of the brand Riva -, went to a generous owner who asked to remain anonymous. The final and winning bid was an amount of 430,000 Euro plus tax. The proceeds will be donated to the Italian Civil Protection for immediate interventions to support communities of central Italy hit by the earthquake.
“As a symbol of Italian excellence in the yachting industry, we immediately felt the need to give our support to the areas hit hardest by the earthquake” – commented the Ferretti Group CEO, Alberto Galassi at the end of the splendid evening. “We decided to donate one of our most beautiful and iconic boats, the Aquariva Super, made even more exceptional by the creative genius of our friend, and Riva owner, Sir Elton John, who personally selected this version of ‘Blue Wonderful’ making this a unique and unrepeatable unit.
The proceeds of this initiative will entirely go to the Italian Civil Protection, to support immediate relief projects and support reconstruction of one of the most beautiful areas of the country, the richest in culture, history and traditions. We chose the Aquariva Super because it is a symbol of Italy’s extraordinary manufacturing expertise and unique capabilities that characterize the Riva brand and all of Ferretti Group. The yacht will have a special commemorative plaque to remember that this Aquariva ‘Blue Wonderful’ was donated by Ferretti Group to its country.”
