The Birel ART brand continues to win at the highest level worldwide!
And if it isn’t with the official team, success comes with a private team, demonstrating once again that the Italian chassis is indeed the current benchmark in the KZ and KZ2 categories. Simone Cunati dominated the Final of the KZ2 International Super Cup masterfully, while Giuseppe Palomba ensured a double despite starting in 7th position. 2019 World Champion and reigning European KZ Champion Marijn Kremers, his Ricciardo Kart colours and TM engine were just 4 tenths from a new title. They clinched the vice-World Championship after a difficult but perfectly managed event by Birel ART.
Five drivers with Birel ART chassis in the top 12 of the KZ World Championship, including one on the second step of the podium; six Birel ART chassis in the top 12 in the KZ2 International Super Cup, with a fabulous double on the finish line. The figures speak for themselves for the products of the Lissone factory. This FIA World Karting event held at the beginning of October at the South Garda Karting of Lonato was undoubtedly the most eagerly awaited competition of the season and Birel ART draws extremely positive conclusions from it, as its President Ronni Sala admitted.
“We had to deal with changing weather conditions at the beginning of the meeting and I think that our chassis proved to be the most competitive in all conditions: on rain tyres, slicks or even on an intermediate track! I must salute the talent of the drivers and the brilliance of the teams, official or private, who enabled us to achieve this result. It’s very important for our factory to see that all the teams using our chassis are performing well. This double in KZ2 is very rewarding. In KZ, Marijn Kremers came very close to the title. He was a little faster at the end of the race than the leader, but lost time in a duel with another driver. That’s racing! I have to admit that after the 2020 European Championship title, it is however very satisfying to finish 2nd in the World Championship”.
Cunati and Palomba dominate KZ2
Leader after the Qualifying Heats, which were made very difficult by the changing weather conditions, Simone Cunati fully deserves his victory in the Final. Thanks to the magnificent work carried out by the Modena Kart ASD team, the Italian brings a magnificent trophy to the Birel ART brand in this event that could be called “KZ2 World Cup”, so high is the standard. A member of the factory team, Giuseppe Palomba certainly had the speed to win. However, he had some difficulties in the rain and he was only able to start from the 7th position in the Final. In the end, however, he secured a magnificent double. Ranked 4th, Leonardo Marseglia obtained his best result in an FIA Karting event. Birel ART also congratulates Matteo Zanchi (Zanchi Motorsport) in 6th, Viktor Gustavsson (Charles Leclerc by Lennox Racing) in 10th, Filippo Berto (Emilia Kart) in 12th and all the drivers who used Birel ART chassis.
Victory was close for Kremers
The rain that fell in the Timed Qualifying session made the teams’ work very difficult at Lonato. Alessandro Irlando jeopardised his chances of a podium finish on Friday, although he was still extremely fast, as evidenced by his second fastest time in the Final where he finished 10th. An incident in one heat severely delayed Matteo Vigano, who was defending the Charles Leclerc by Lennox Racing colours. However, he moved up from 14th to 9th place, two places ahead of his team-mate Antonio Fuoco. The car driver certainly enjoyed himself at Lonato. Riccardo Longhi took the official record of the event with 45″874, whereas Kremers remained the fastest driver of the meeting with his time of 45”588 in the warm-up.
Marijn Kremers, who won two heats and was on the verge of taking pole position, was close to winning. “A few drops of rain fell before the start, the first lap wasn’t easy and I lost the lead,” commented the Dutchman. “Nevertheless, victory was still within reach, before another driver came in between us. By the time I came back, the leader had taken more than a second’s lead. In the end, the gap narrowed to four tenths, but in a few more laps I could have made an attack! In any case, this will remain a great season for me, Ricciardo Kart, Birel ART and TM Racing. Thanks to the whole team…”

Una doppietta e ancora un podio nel Campionato mondiale di Lonato
Il marchio Birel ART continua a vincere al più alto livello mondiale. E quando il succeso non arriva con il team ufficiale arriva con un team privato, dimostrando ancora una volta che il telaio italiano è il riferimento attuale nelle categorie KZ e KZ2 Simone Cunati ha dominato la finale dell’International Supercup KZ2 con grande maestria, mentre Giuseppe Palomba ha assicurato una doppietta nonostante una partenza in settima posizione. Campione mondiale 2019 e Campione europeo KZ in carica, Marijn Kremers, con i colori Ricciardo Kart e il motore TM, ha mancato di soli quattro decimi un nuovo titolo. Si aggiudica il titolo di vicecampione mondiale al termine di una prova difficile, ma perfettamente gestita da Birel ART.
Cinque piloti con telaio Birel ART nella Top-12 del Campionato mondiale KZ di cui uno sul secondo gradino del podio; sei telai Birel ART nella Top-12 dell’International Super Cup KZ2, con una favolosa doppietta sul traguardo. I dati parlano da soli per i prodotti dello stabilimento di Lissone. Questa prova mondiale FIA Karting organizzata all’inizio di ottobre sul South Garda Karting di Lonato era senza dubbio la competizione più attesa della stagione e Birel ART ne trae un bilancio estremamente positivo, come ha dichiarato il suo Presidente Ronnie Sala.
“Abbiamo dovuto affrontare delle condizioni meteo variabili all’inizio del meeting e penso che il nostro telaio si sia rivelato il più competitivo in tutte le condizioni: con pneumatici da pioggia, con gli slick o persino su una pista mista! Voglio congratularmi con i piloti per il loro talento e con i team, ufficiali o privati, per il loro brio permettendoci di raggiungere questo risultato. È molto importante per la nostra azienda vedere che tutti i team che usano il nostro telaio sono performanti. Questa doppietta nella KZ2 è molto appagante. Nella KZ, Marijn Kremers ha sfiorato il titolo. È stato un po’ più veloce del leader sul finale, ma ha perso tempo in occasione di un duello con un altro pilota. Così vanno le gare! Devo ammettere che dopo il titolo di Campione europeo 2020 è comunque una bella soddisfazione conquistare il titolo di vicecampione del mondo.”
Cunati e Palomba dominano la KZ2
Leader al termine delle manche di qualificazione rese molto difficili a causa delle condizioni meteo variabili, Simone Cunati merita ampiamente la sua vittoria in finale. Grazie a un magnifico lavoro realizzato per il team Modena Kart ASD, l’italiano regala un magnifico trofeo al marchio Birel ART in questa prova che si potrebbe battezzare “Coppa del mondo KZ2” tanto era alto il livello. Membro del team ufficiale, Giuseppe Palomba aveva sicuramente la velocità per vincere. Purtroppo, ha avuto alcune difficoltà quando c’era la pioggia e ha potuto partire solo dalla settima posizione in finale. Alla fine, ha comunque assicurato una magnifica doppietta. Classificatosi quarto, Leonardo Marseglia ottiene il suo miglior risultato in una prova FIA Karting. Birel ART si complimenta con Matteo Zanchi (Zanchi Motorsport) sesto, Viktor Gustavsson (Charles Leclerc by Lennox Racing) decimo, Filippo Berto (Emilia Kart) dodicesimo e tutti i piloti che hanno utilizzato i telai Birel ART.
La vittoria era vicino per Kremers
La pioggia che ha fatto capolino durante le prove cronometrate ha reso il lavoro dei team molto difficile a Lonato. Alessandro Irlando si è giocato le sue possibilità di podio sin da venerdì, quando era ancora estremamente veloce, come lo dimostra il suo secondo miglior tempo in finale dove ha terminato decimo. Un incidente in una manche ha decisamente ritardato Matteo Viganò che difendeva i colori Charles Leclerc by Lennox Racing. È tuttavia passato dal quattordicesimo al nono posto, precedendo di due posizioni il suo compagno di squadra Antonio Fuoco. Il pilota automobilistico si è sicuramente divertito a Lonato. Quinto in finale partendo dall’ottava posizione, Riccardo Longhi si è aggiudicato il record ufficiale della prova con 45”874, mentre Kremers è rimasto il più veloce del meeting con il suo tempo di 45”588 realizzato in occasione del warm-up.
Autore della pole-position e vincitore di due manche, Marijn Kremers è stato a un soffio dal conquistare il titolo. “Prima della partenza sono cadute alcune gocce di pioggia, il primo giro non è stato facile e ho perso la prima posizione,” ha commentato l’olandese. “Tuttavia, la vittoria era ancora possibile prima che un altro pilota si mettesse tra di noi. Il tempo di risorpassare e il leader aveva già preso più di un secondo di vantaggio. Alla fine, il distacco si è ridotto di quattro decimi, ma ci volevano ancora alcuni giri per poter sferrare un attacco! In tutti i casi questa resterà una stagione straordinaria per me, Ricciardo Kart, Birel ART e TM Racing. Un grazie a tutto il team…”

Un doublé et encore un podium au Championnat du Monde à Lonato
La marque Birel ART continue de gagner au plus haut niveau mondial ! Et lorsque ce n’est pas avec le team officiel, le succès arrive avec un team privé, démontrant une fois de plus que le châssis italien est bien la référence actuelle dans les catégories KZ et KZ2. Simone Cunati a dominé la finale de l’International Supercup KZ2 avec maestria, pendant que Giuseppe Palomba assurait le doublé malgré un départ en 7e position. Champion du Monde 2019 et Champion d’Europe KZ en titre, Marijn Kremers, ses couleurs Ricciardo Kart et son moteur TM sont passés à tout juste 4 dixièmes d’un nouveau sacre. Ils décrochent le titre de vice-Champion du Monde à l’issue d’une épreuve difficile, mais parfaitement gérée par Birel ART.

Cette épreuve mondiale FIA Karting organisée début octobre sur le South Garda Karting de Lonato était sans doute la compétition la plus attendue de la saison et Birel ART en tire un bilan extrêmement positif, comme l’a avoué son Président Ronni Sala.
“Nous avons dû affronter une météo changeante en début de meeting et je pense que notre châssis s’est révélé être le plus compétitif dans toutes les conditions: en pneus pluie, en slicks ou même sur une piste intermédiaire ! Je dois saluer le talent des pilotes et le brio des teams, officiel ou privés, qui nous ont permis d’atteindre ce résultat. C’est très important pour notre usine de voir que tous les teams qui utilisent notre châssis sont performants. Ce doublé en KZ2 est vraiment valorisant. En KZ, Marijn Kremers est passé très près du titre. Il était un peu plus rapide en fin de course que le leader, mais a perdu du temps lors d’un duel avec un autre pilote. C’est la course ! Je dois avouer qu’après le titre de Champion d’Europe 2020, c’est toutefois une belle satisfaction de terminer vice-Champion du Monde.”

Classé 4e, Leonardo Marseglia décroche son plus beau résultat dans une épreuve FIA Karting. Birel ART félicite également Matteo Zanchi (Zanchi Motorsport) 6e, Viktor Gustavsson (Charles Leclerc by Lennox Racing) 10e, Filippo Berto (Emilia Kart) 12e et tous les pilotes qui utilisaient des châssis Birel ART.

Il est toutefois passé de la 14e à la 9e place, deux places devant son équipier Antonio Fuoco. Le pilote auto a assurément pris beaucoup de plaisir à Lonato. 5e de la finale en partant de la 8e position, Riccardo Longhi s’est adjugé le record officiel de l’épreuve en 45”874, tandis que Kremers restait le plus rapide du meeting avec son temps de 45’’588 réalisé lors du warm-up.
Auteur de la pole position et vainqueur de deux manches, Marijn Kremers a été à deux doigts de l’emporter. “Quelques gouttes de pluie sont tombées avant le départ, le premier tour n’a pas été facile et j’ai perdu la première place,” a commenté le Néerlandais. “Néanmoins, la victoire était encore envisageable, avant qu’un autre pilote ne vienne s’intercaler. Le temps que je repasse, le leader avait pris plus d’une seconde d’avance. A la fin, l’écart s’est réduit à quatre dixièmes, mais il a manqué quelques tours pour pouvoir porter une attaque !
