Cambiano i programmi per Molly Taylor, che ad inizio stagione aveva pianificato di partecipare al Rally d’Australia, e che parteciperà invece al Rally di Polonia, nona prova del Campionato Europeo Rally .
Questa scelta è stata fatta in casa United Business sia per difendere la prima posizione raggiunta nel European Ladies’ Trophy che per incrementare il bagaglio di esperienza della forte pilotessa Australiana.
Molly Taylor e Seb Marshall al Barum Rally Zlin hanno preceduto con tranquillità gli altri equipaggi femminili in gara, risultato ottenuto al termine di una prestazione regolare che ha guardato soprattutto all’economia della classifica di trofeo. Per i portacolori della United Business ora si annuncia l’impegnativo 70° Rally Poland, prova su terra che si svolgerà a Mikolajki dal 13 al 15 Settembre e che la Taylor affronterà con la DS3 R3, vettura con la quale ha già disputato 5 prove del Campionato Europeo 2013. Quest’anno il Rally Poland è atteso come forse non mai dai tifosi e questo è dovuto al fatto che al via sarà presente anche Robert Kubica e le aspettative dei tifosi polacchi sono grandissime. “Sono felice di poter correre in Polonia perché innanzitutto si tratta di un’opportunità per accrescere il mio bagaglio d’esperienza e poi perché la corsa, mi dicono tutti, è davvero affascinante: oltre ad avversari impegnativi c’è la cornice del pubblico che rende speciale ogni momento della gara – ha commentato Molly Taylor – d’altro canto mi spiace tantissimo non correre il Rally d’Australia, è la mia gara di casa, il cuore mi diceva di correre li ma, dopo un’attenta analisi con il mio manager Pier Liberali e con il mio copilota Seb Marshall, abbiamo deciso di rinunciare all’Australia e di correre in Polonia. I logici obiettivi di classifica in ottica Campionato Europeo hanno avuto la meglio sulla parte sentimentale, affronterò ancora una volta un rally per me completamente nuovo, la cosa non mi spaventa, io e Seb cercheremo di dare il massimo come sempreâ€.
Pier Liberali patron di United Business dichiara “Era da un po’ di tempo che pensavo a questo cambiamento di programma, e quando ho esposto le motivazioni sia Molly che Seb con grande professionalità le hanno capite e condivise; non avevo dubbi, si stanno dimostrando due grandi professionisti. Avendo disputato meno rally delle sue concorrenti ed anche a causa di due prove sfortunate fino ad ora ho dovuto chiedere a Molly di limitare ed anche di molto la sua voglia di andare al massimo, in ottica Trofeo in questa fase era indispensabile arrivare in fondo alle gare, lo ha fatto tre volte ed ha con relativa tranquillità sempre sopravanzato le proprie rivali, ora che è stata raggiunta la prima posizione nel Trofeo Femminile al Rally di Polonia mi sembra giusto che il nostro equipaggio abbia il via libera per dar sfogo alla propria voglia di andare all’attacco. Sia a Sibiu che a Zlin leggevo negli occhi di Molly e Seb una certa frustrazione, chiedere ad un pilota di andare piano e finire la gara non è mai gradevole, ma io ho dovuto farlo e loro con grande professionalità hanno dato retta alle mie raccomandazioni. In Polonia correranno come meglio crederanno e sono speranzoso che le gare di quest’anno gli abbiano insegnato a gestire per il meglio una gara. Io dico sempre che per vincere trofei e campionati bisogna arrivare alla fine di ogni rallyâ€.
Il Rally di Polonia 2013 offrirà spettacolo in diretta televisiva, questo grazie all’accordo tra il promoter del Campionato Europeo, Eurosport e il gruppo petrolifero LOTOS sponsor dell’evento, nonché del programma di Robert Kubica tra ERC e WRC e che ha fatto sì che quattro delle prove speciali previste verranno trasmesse â€liveâ€: i due passaggi sul percorso di Mragowo di 19.14 km ed i due sulla prova di Mateuszek di 23.77 km, quest’ultima prova finale dell’evento.
Change of programme for Molly Taylor, who earlier in the season had planned to contest in Rally Australia, and who will instead take part in Rally Poland, ninth round of the European Rally Championship.
This choice was made within United Business both to defend the first position reached in the European Ladies’ Trophy and to increase the wealth of experience of the strong Australian lady driver.

For the United Business crew the next step will be the challenging 70° Rally Poland, a gravel event held in Mikolajki from 13th to 15th of September and which Molly Taylor will tackle with the DS3 R3, a car with which she has already contested 5 rounds of the 2013 European Championship. This year’s Rally Poland is expected like never before by fans and this is due to the fact that Robert Kubica will enter and the expectations of Polish fans are huge. “I am happy to be able to race in Poland because first of all it is an opportunity to increase my experience and because the race, I am told, is really fascinating; besides the challenging opponents, the fans make every moment of the rally very special – said Molly Taylor – on the other hand I am so sorry not to be in Rally Australia, it is my home event, my heart feeling was to be there but, after a careful analysis with my manager Pier Liberali and my co-driver Seb Marshall , we decided to give up Australia and to be in Poland. The logical goals of the European Championship ranking prevailed on the sentimental side, I will once again face a completely new rally, I am not afraid, Seb and I will try to give it our best as alwaysâ€.
Pier Liberali patron of United Business said â€I have been thinking about this programme change for a while, and when I explained the reasons both Molly Seb with great professionalism understood and shared them; I had no doubts, they are proving two great professionals. Having done less rallies than her opponents and also because of two unlucky events, until now I had to ask Molly to limit by much her desire to go flat out, looking to the Trophy at this stage it was essential to be at the finish of the races, she did it three times and has always beaten her rivals with relative ease, now that the leadership in the Female Trophy has been reached I think it is fair that in Rally Poland our crew has the go-ahead to fulfill their desire to attack. Both in Sibiu and in Zlin I saw in the eyes of Molly and Seb some frustration, it is never nice to ask a driver to go slowly and finish the race, but I had to do so and with great professionalism they listened to my recommendations . In Poland they will run as they deem it best and I am hopeful that this year’s races have taught them to manage a rally at the best. I always say that to win trophies and championships you have to get to the end of each rallyâ€.
The Rally of Poland in 2013 will offer live television show, thanks to the agreement between the promoter of the European Championship, Eurosport, and the LOTOS oil group sponsor of the event, as well as of Robert Kubica’s programme comprising ERC and WRC and which means that four of the special stages will be broadcast “live”: the two runs through the 19.14 km Mragowo stage and the two on the 23.77 km Mateuszek stage, which will also be the closing stage of the event.
