Two months after the announcement of the launch of the Charles Leclerc chassis range produced by the Birel ART factory, the sporting season for the Lennox Racing team, which officially represents the colours of Charles Leclerc in racing, takes shape with a line-up of 11 drivers from seven different nations.
Youth and experience are both represented within this new challenge.
With the boss Jordon Lennox-Lamb’s mastery of racing, and the quality of the Birel ART products, the Lennox Racing Team has solid assets for the start of the first season of competition for the new Charles Leclerc chassis. Among many requests, the choice of drivers was split between youngsters in full bloom in the OK-Junior category, drivers already confirmed for their switch to OK, and experienced talents in KZ/KZ2. The ambition is clearly to train tomorrow’s up-and-coming drivers while aiming for significant results for the most experienced.
Strong drivers in KZ/KZ2
With Italian Matteo Vigano, the team can count on a driver who is as fast as he is experienced to fine-tune the equipment. A main protagonist of the KZ category last season, and winner of the KZ2 FIA Karting International Super Cup in 2018, Matteo will be supported by the Swede Benjamin Tornqvist who we saw fighting for victory until the last lap of the 2017 KZ2 FIA Karting International Super Cup. His compatriot Viktor Gustavsson and the American Michael Stevens, two talents in search of top results, complete the team.
OK: places for the youngsters
The three OK drivers of the Lennox Racing team have all competed in junior racing before moving on to the elite category. From the United Arab Emirates, Jamie Day, great Junior protagonist last year and winner of the European round in Kristianstad, and Roman Sharapov are delighted to continue their ascent in Jordon’s team, joined by an X30 Junior specialist who has also driven in OK-Junior with Lennox Racing. All three are determined to shine at the top of the rankings.
The next generation of drivers gets ready for OK-Junior
While Sweden’s Wilmer Wallenstam and Portugal’s Ivan Domingues already have some experience in the OK-Junior category, Russia’s Platon Kostin and Vladimir Verholansev will make their debut in 2020. These four young talents will be able to take advantage of the team’s experience and the teaching skills of their boss to continue their high level training in the best conditions under the colours of Charles Leclerc.
A substantial international programme
In order to be in the best possible position to achieve its ambitions, the Leclerc by Lennox Racing team will line up at the start of the WSK Champions Cup, Super Master Series and Euro Series, in addition to the Winter Cup and the Champions of the Future by RGMMC events. The FIA European and World Karting Championships will be the highlights of the coming season which will end with the WSK Open Cup and Final Cup at the end of the year. Out of the 23 race weekends on the calendar, OK and OK-Junior will race 19 of them, while KZ/KZ2 will be in action 14 times. Nine preparatory test sessions are already planned in addition to the winter sessions that have already started.

Charles Leclerc by Lennox Racing: una bella formazione per una partenza alla grande
Due mesi dopo l’annuncio del lancio della linea di kart Charles Leclerc prodotta negli stabilimenti Birel ART, la stagione sportiva del team Lennox Racing, che rappresenta ufficialmente i colori di Charles Leclerc in gara, prende forma con una formazione di 11 piloti provenienti da sette paesi diversi. Tanta gioventù ed esperienza per questa nuova sfida.
Con l’esperienza delle gare del proprietario, Jordon Lennox-Lamb, e la qualità dei prodotti Birel ART, il Lennox Racing Team ha tutte le carte in regole per iniziare la prima stagione di gare dei nuovi kart Charles Leclerc. Tra le numerose esigenze, la scelta dei piloti si è suddivisa tra i giovani in piena crescita per la categoria OK-Junior, dei piloti già confermati per il passaggio alla OK e dei talenti esperti nella KZ/KZ2. L’ambizione è chiaramente quella di formare i piloti del futuro puntando al contempo a dei risultati importanti per i più esperti.
Bella gente nella KZ/KZ2
Con l’italiano Matteo Viganò, il team può contare su un pilota veloce ed esperto per perfezionare la messa a punto del mezzo Grande animatore della categoria KZ nella scorsa stagione, vincitore dell’International Super Cup FIA Karting nel 2018, Matteo sarà affiancato dallo svedese Benjamin Tornqvist che si è fatto notare nella battaglia per la vittoria fino all’ultimo giro nell’International Super Cup FIA Karting KZ2 2017. Il suo compatriota Viktor Gustavsson e l’americano Michael Stevens, due piloti di valore a caccia di notorietà, completano il team.
OK: largo ai giovani
I tre piloti OK del team Lennox Racing hanno mosso i primi passi nella Junior prima di lanciarsi nella categoria di punta. Provenienti dagli Emirati Arabi Uniti, Jamie Day, grande protagonista Junior l’anno scorso e vincitore del round europeo di Kristianstad, e Roman Sharapov sono entusiasti di proseguire la loro ascesa nella struttura di Jordon, raggiunti da uno specialista della X30 Junior che ha gareggiato anche nella OK-Junior con Lennox Racing. Queste tre speranze hanno tutte le intenzioni di posizionarsi nelle parti alte delle classifiche.
Le nuove leve si preparano a entrare nella OK-Junior
Mentre lo svedese Wilmer Wallenstam e il portoghese Ivan Domingues hanno già una certa esperienza della categoria OK-Junior, i due russi Platon Kostin e Vladimir Verholansev debutteranno in questa categoria nel 2020. Questi quattro giovani talenti approfitteranno dell’esperienza del team e delle qualità pedagogiche del loro boss per proseguire il loro apprendimento di alto livello nelle migliori condizioni indossando i colori di Charles Leclerc.
Un programma internazionale coerente
Per poter soddisfare le proprie ambizioni, il team Leclerc by Lennox Racing gareggerà nella WSDK Champions Cup, nella Super Master Series e nella Euro Series, e anche nella Winter Cup e in alcune prove della Champions of the Future by RGMMC. I Campionati europeo e mondiale FIA Karting costituiranno i punti forti della prossima stagione che terminerà con la WSK Open Cup e Final Cup a fine anno. Durante i 23 week-end di gare previsti, le categorie OK e OK-Junior ne disputeranno 19, mentre ritroveremo le categorie KZ/KZ2 14 volte. Sono già state programmate nove sessioni di test preparatori oltre alle prove invernali che sono già iniziate.
Con il team Lennox Racing è tutto pronto per vedere i kart Charles Leclerc in azione nelle competizioni internazionali.

Deux mois après l’annonce du lancement de la gamme de châssis Charles Leclerc produits par l’usine Birel ART, la saison sportive du team Lennox Racing, qui représente officiellement les couleurs de Charles Leclerc en compétition, prend forme avec une formation de 11 pilotes issus de 7 nations différentes. Jeunesse et expérience sont au rendez-vous de ce nouveau défi.
Avec la maîtrise de la course du patron, Jordon Lennox-Lamb, et la qualité de la production Birel ART, le Lennox Racing Team possède de solides atouts pour entamer la première saison de compétition des nouveaux châssis Charles Leclerc. Parmi de nombreuses demandes, le choix des pilotes s’est partagé entre des jeunes en pleine éclosion pour la catégorie OK-Junior, des pilotes déjà confirmés pour passer en OK et des talents expérimentés en KZ/KZ2. L’ambition est clairement de former la relève de demain tout en visant des résultats significatifs pour les plus aguerris.
Du beau monde en KZ/KZ2
Avec l’Italien Matteo Vigano, l’équipe peut compter sur un pilote aussi rapide qu’expérimenté pour affiner la mise au point du matériel. Grand animateur de la catégorie KZ la saison dernière, vainqueur de la Super Coupe Internationale FIA Karting KZ2 en 2018, Matteo sera appuyé par le Suédois Benjamin Tornqvist que l’on se rappelle avoir vu en lutte pour la victoire jusqu’au dernier tour de la Super Coupe Internationale FIA Karting KZ2 2017. Son compatriote Viktor Gustavsson et l’Américain Michael Stevens, deux valeurs sûres en quête de notoriété, complètent l’équipe.
OK : places aux jeunes
Les trois pilotes OK du team Lennox Racing ont fait leurs armes en Junior avant de se lancer dans la catégorie d’élite. En provenance des Émirats Arabes Unis, Jamie Day, grand protagoniste Junior l’an dernier et vainqueur de la manche européenne de Kristianstad, et Roman Sharapov sont ravis de poursuivre leur ascension dans la structure de Jordon, rejoints par un spécialiste du X30 Junior qui a également roulé en OK-Junior avec le Lennox Racing. Ces trois espoirs sont bien déterminés à briller en haut des classements.
La relève se prépare en OK-Junior
Alors que le Suédois Wilmer Wallenstam et le Portugais Ivan Domingues possèdent déjà une certaine expérience de la catégorie OK-Junior, les deux Russes Platon Kostin et Vladimir Verholansev y feront leur entrée en 2020. Ces 4 jeunes talents vont pouvoir profiter de l’expérience du team et des qualités de pédagogues de son boss pour poursuivre leur apprentissage du haut niveau dans les meilleures conditions sous les couleurs de Charles Leclerc.
Un programme international conséquent
Afin de se donner les moyens de ses ambitions, le team Leclerc by Lennox Racing va s’aligner au départ des WSDK Champions Cup, Super Master Series et Euro Series, en plus de la Winter Cup et des épreuves Champions of the Future by RGMMC. Les Championnats d’Europe et du Monde FIA Karting constitueront les points forts de la saison à venir qui s’achèvera par les WSK Open Cup et Final Cup en fin d’année. Sur les 23 week-ends de course du calendrier, les OK et OK-Junior en disputeront 19, tandis que l’on retrouvera les KZ/KZ2 à 14 reprises en course. 9 séances de tests préparatoires sont déjà planifiées en plus des roulages hivernaux qui ont déjà débuté.
