The Consorzio Turistico Dolomiti Stars is making improvements to the Dolomiti Ski Shuttle transfer service for visitors who choose to travel by air or train to the following ski areas: Civetta (Alleghe, Selva di Cadore and Val di Zoldo), Falcade – Passo San Pellegrino and Arabba-Marmolada.

As from the winter 2014-15 season, in addition to the usual airports “Marco Polo” in Venice and “Antonio Canova” in Treviso, and the Venezia-Mestre train station, the Dolomiti Stars shuttle bus will also serve the airports “Orio al Serio” in Bergamo and “Valerio Catullo” in Verona. The other great news is that the service becomes free for children under 12, with one free child’s ticket per paying adult.

The Dolomiti Ski Shuttle will be available from 6th December 2014 to 5th April 2015, with two daily trips on Saturdays and Sundays. Additional trips are planned over the Christmas period, on Friday 26th December 2014 and Friday 2nd January 2015. Booking is obligatory on dolomitistars.dolomiti.org.

“A region’s ability to attract tourists depends greatly on the quality of the services on offer. This is why, year after year, Dolomiti Stars seeks to encourage the development of initiatives geared to make life easier for guests at the accommodation facilities associated with the Consorzio Turistico” according to Stefano Mannelli, Director of Dolomiti Stars. “Over the last four years, thanks to collaboration with our colleagues in Trentino, our Dolomiti Ski Shuttle transfer service has become increasingly comprehensive and efficient. In the arrivals halls at Venice, Bergamo and Verona airports, we even have a reception desk with a hostess available for information and assistance”.

Finally, remember that in the Consorzio Turistico Dolomiti Stars territory, the skiing season will kick off on Saturday 29th November with the opening of the Civetta lift systems (Alleghe, Selva di Cadore, Val diZoldo), and from Friday 5th December visitors will also be able to ski in the Falcade-Passo San Pellegrino and Arabba-Marmolada areas, making a total of 250 km of pistes, all within the Dolomiti Superski circuit.
