Leaving Warsaw behind and taking a long journey towards the South, the Tour de Pologne proceeds with the second stage from Czestochowa to Dabrowa Gornicza for 146 km.
It all starts in the city famous for the sanctuary housing the “Black Madonna”, one of the most important centers of worship in Poland for Catholics the world over, and a mecca where the faithful flock on yearly pilgrimages.
After an initial in-line part on quite a hilly stage that offers two 3rd category mountain grand prix, the group will hit the 10km final circuit for five laps in Dabrowa Gornicza.
It’s a short yet edgy stage. On paper this fraction could be another appetizing prize for sprinters, but the first part of the route will definitely inspire some of the day’s attackers to go for a long shot.
