Irrepressible passion that he has inherited from his family; grandparents, Arthur and Régine, in the 60s, used to manage a very well known Atelier of Fashion Tailoring in Paris.

We have chit chatted with Fabio, to get to know him better and to learn a little bit more about his new collection.
1) Hi Fabio! Tell us about your new collection “Régine”, to what (or who) inspired you?
This collection takes the name of my maternal grandmother, from which I inherited the passion for fashion.
I was inspired by a strong, determined, warrior woman that can also kind, sensitive and romantic! All features I found in my grandmother. I have imagined this woman in the streets of Paris, the birthplace of my grandmother Régine, so everything brings to her and her origins, also the name, in Italian Regina (Queen), brings a little to the woman I wanted to represent, a woman who reigns , The bearer of a family!

2) What are the characteristics of a woman wearing “Porliod”?
If we only speak of my latest “Régine” collection, the features we find are above. Otherwise, the woman who dresses in Porliod is a woman who loves being feminine and sensual at all times of the day and not just at special occasions. A woman who does not give up on elegance.

3) Better a beautiful woman dressed “so so” and a “so so” woman well dressed?
Let’s remember that beauty is temporary…everything passes by its time. I believe that if a beautiful woman doesn’t have style or doesn’t know how to dress herself her beauty can vanish. So I prefer a woman that is not so beautiful but well dressed.

4) Rituals before each show?
Rituals before a show?!?!? The reality is that I’m so busy with the organization (dresses, makeup, hair, walkway, music, etc.) that I have no time for any ritual… I usually finish checking everything when the first Model goes out on the catwalk! hahaha

5) Three Adjectives to Define Your Fashion?
Sensual, feminine, elegant

6) One of your clothes, which you love most absolutely?
The “Black Swan” (Cigno Nero). This dress that is part of my latest “Régine” collection and I showcased it in Paris on January, in occasion of the opening of Fashion Week.
A dress made with 100 meters of fabric, including tulle and eco-leather, and with real hair applications.

7) What “fashion” phenomenon you do not like, such as wedges, leggings, low waist?
At the footwear level I am not a lover of dancers or wedges. As far as clothing is concerned, I think it’s a little out of date, and in fact, in my latest collection, we have high-waisted pants and skirts.

8) What is the difference in clothing that makes you the difference?
To make the difference are often the details, but even more to make the difference is the way to wear and wear a dress.

9) Future projects? Collaborations?
I’ve many projects for the future. From a private collections for some customers, to creating something that goes beyond clothing.
After my participation in several Fashion Week: Milan, Paris, Dubai and Turin, I’ve got with a lot open doors and opportunities.
I’m considering, this time some proposals come from Europe while others from overseas.
All projects are still waiting for confirmation, so I still can not tell you much.
