The flybridge yacht which has already got people talking about its innovative design and extreme operational flexibility, could not have chosen any stage but this, the top showcase of the international nautical industry, for its worldwide début.
That is why, from 12 to 17 September, the 40th Cannes Yachting Festival will be hosting a première that is among the
most highly anticipated by boat owners and enthusiasts alike, that of the majestic and alluring Ferretti Yachts 920.
Fruit of the collaboration between the Ferretti Group’s Project Strategy Committee and its Engineering
Department, working alongside the Studio Zuccon International Project, this gigantic new Ferretti Yachts –
28.49 m LOA – has a hull measuring 23.98 metres, which means it can be registered as a recreational craft.
The Ferretti Yachts 920 has a dynamic, irrepressible profile, thanks to the same stylistic design features that have
completely modernised the models launched in recent years and ensured their international success.
The first major new feature involves raising the height of the bow. As well as giving the yacht an imposing
presence on the water, this has allowed the addition of a wide-body master suite on the main deck.
The detailing on the gunwale, which also helps to emphasise the yacht’s ‘aggressive’ character, continues beyond the
bulwark walkways, ‘cutting’ into the design of the windows in the master cabin.
EXTERIOR
The exterior spaces offer an impressive amount of space for relaxation as well as luxurious furnishings,
both built-in and free-standing, the latter by the famous Italian company Roda, specialised in outdoor furniture.
The space located forward, in particular, is the largest ever on a Ferretti Yachts vessel of this size. The sun pad on the
bridge house leads into a dinette fitted with two forward-facing sofas – divided by a passageway – and a pair of sofas
with adjustable backrests along the bulwark. This creates a large lounge, complete with coffee tables, which can be
protected and shaded by sun canopies upon request.
The cockpit features a multipurpose sofa, which can be used as a sun pad or as a seat for the outdoor dining table.
The stern area features a Submersible Hatch, the famous system used to move the garage door and swimming
platform, offering guests all the comfort of a spacious beach club and allowing the crew to handle a tender measuring
up to 4 m in length with ease.
The flybridge is a panoramic deck designed for relaxation, especially amidships and in the stern. It is covered by a
special blacked-out window situated over the dining area and outdoor helm station. The bar unit beneath, which can
be configured to suit the specific needs of each owner, features a Florim top in travertine.
INTERIOR
The interiors rival the stunning versions in higher category models.
The lounge, with its anthracite-grey parquet flooring, is panelled almost entirely in exquisite walnut wood with
chocolate tones, alternating with enamelled accents in different colours. The built-in furniture, upholstered in stonegrey
leather, serves to complement the lounge’s furnishings as a whole, all of which are by Minotti, from the fabricupholstered
Powell sofa and coordinated Creed armchair in nubuck leather, to the Duchamp and Calder coffee tables,
whose finishings in Bronze and Calacatta Gold blend elegantly with the rest of the room’s appointments. In the dining
area you will find a table in smoked grey glass with an enamelled base, along with 8 Velis lounge armchairs, in nubuck
leather, by Potocco, just another one of the wide range of optional features that Ferretti Yachts has to offer. A backlighting
system, provided along with the same ceiling panel lacquered in optical white that can be found in all of the
craft’s main spaces, serves to complete the luxurious contemporary style of the lounge.
Below deck we find the same chocolate-tone walnut wood and enamelled accents, alternating with fine leather and
customisable upholstery.
In the wide body master stateroom, the bed is supported by a recessed base that makes it appear as though it is
“floating”, while above it a large mirror emphasises the cabin’s generous size. Meanwhile, the expansive windows,
covered by gathered curtains, provide a stunning view of the panorama outside. The furnishings include a vanity table
and a walk-in closet. The full-beam bathroom is located at the foredeck, on a slightly lower level. Parquet flooring,
Antolini marble, mosaics, and brass accenting characterise this space, which is divided into three separate
sections: one for the toilet, one for the shower, and another where the sinks are located, above which hangs an
OmniDecor DecorFlou Bronze mirror.
The central area of the deck is designed to control the circulation flows on board. There is a lobby to the starboard
side with a companionway leading down to the lower deck, a large storage area and a day toilet. On the port side is a
large galley, all by Ernestomeda, from which you can go up to the helm station or out onto the exterior walkway.
Continuing forward, there is the first technical and system monitoring area, beyond which is the companionway
leading down to the crew quarters.
Two layouts are available for the main area of the lower deck: the first unit includes 3 large en-suite
cabins.
This exclusive layout allows the Ferretti Yachts 920 to offer guests a full-beam double suite amidships, worthy of being
called a master cabin, and a second VIP suite on the port side with the exact same set-up. A comfortable third cabin
with single beds completes the sleeping area. The furnishings in these cabins and in their bathrooms feature the same
interplay of materials and colours as on the main deck, but with specific customised variations.
The 4-cabin layout is organised into two en-suite double cabins on the port side and two doubles with single beds
on the starboard side.
Great attention is paid to the crew: in addition to a dinette with laundry area, the captain can enjoy a private ensuite
cabin, while the crew can relax in two double cabins with a shared bathroom fitted with a separate shower. A
second layout is also available for this area, with a captain’s cabin at the foredeck.
The pilot house is an exclusively technical area with a ‘futuristic’ design. The captain can run the entire yacht from
here, thanks to a large control station equipped with a next-gen steering system and multiple touchscreen displays
that fully integrate all of the on-board monitoring systems and navigation instruments.
ENGINE
The Ferretti Yachts 920 is available with three different types of MTU engine.
The first unit comes fitted with two 16V, 2000 M96 engines, generating 2435 MHP, allowing the yacht to reach a
cruising speed of 26 knots and a maximum speed of 30 knots. (preliminary data).
The Ferretti Yachts 920 also includes zero-speed fins and Seakeeper stabilisers

Il 40° Cannes Yachting Festival ospiterà infatti, dal 12 al 17 settembre, una delle première più attese da armatori e
appassionati, quella del maestoso e seducente Ferretti Yachts 920.

una lunghezza scafo di 23,98 metri, che permette di registrarlo come imbarcazione da diporto.
Ferretti Yachts 920 esibisce una silhouette dinamica e prorompente, grazie agli stilemi progettuali che hanno rinnovato
completamente i modelli lanciati in questi anni decretandone il successo internazionale.
Una prima, importante novità è l’innalzamento della prua dello scafo che, oltre a conferire una decisa presenza in
acqua, ha permesso l’introduzione della suite padronale wide body sul ponte di coperta.
A enfatizzare il carattere “aggressivo” dello yacht contribuisce anche il dettaglio del capodibanda, che prosegue oltre i
camminamenti a murata penetrando, come una lama, nella finestratura della cabina armatore.
ESTERNI
Gli spazi all’aperto impressionano per la quantità delle aree relax e per la ricchezza degli allestimenti
sia strutturali che freestanding, questi ultimi firmati Roda, famosa azienda italiana specializzata nell’arredo outdoor.
L’area a prua è la più grande di sempre per un Ferretti Yachts di queste dimensioni. Il prendisole sulla tuga introduce a
una dinette allestita con due divani fronte marcia – divisi dal passaggio portoghese – e una coppia di sofà a murata con
schienali rialzabili. Si crea così una grande lounge, completa di tavolini, che su richiesta può essere protetta e
ombreggiata da parasoli.
Il pozzetto prevede un divano multifunzionale, da sfruttare sia come prendisole che come seduta per il tavolo da
pranzo esterno. A poppa ritroviamo il Submersible Hatch, il celebre sistema di movimentazione del portellone del
garage e della spiaggetta, che offre agli ospiti gli agi di un grande beach club e permette all’equipaggio la comodissima
gestione di un tender fino a 4 metri di lunghezza.
Il flybridge è un ponte panoramico dedicato al relax, in particolare nella zona centrale e poppiera. È coperto da
uno speciale cristallo oscurato, che sovrasta la zona dining e la postazione di pilotaggio esterna. Il mobile bar
sottostante può essere configurato in base alle specifiche esigenze di ogni armatore, ed è rivestito da un piano in
Florim travertino.
INTERNI
Gli interni sono paragonabili a quelli ammirabili in modelli di categoria superiore.
Il salone, con pavimento in parquet color antracite, è quasi interamente rivestito da una pregiata essenza noce sui toni
del color cioccolato, cui si alternano elementi laccati di colore diverso. Rivestimenti in pelle grigio roccia
caratterizzano i mobili strutturali e fanno da cornice all’allestimento del salone, firmato interamente Minotti: dal
divano in tessuto modello Powell alla poltrona Creed in nabuk coordinata, ai tavolini Duchamp e Calder, le cui finiture
in bronzo e calacatta oro si combinano elegantemente con il resto dell’arredamento. Nella zona pranzo c’è il tavolo in
vetro fumé a base laccata con 8 poltroncine Velis in nabuk di Potocco, una scelta opzionale nel ventaglio di proposte
d’arredo offerte da Ferretti Yachts. A completare il sontuoso stile contemporaneo del salone, il sistema di
retroilluminazione che accompagna il cielino in laccato bianco ottico, presente in tutti gli ambienti principali.
Sottocoperta ritroviamo l’essenza in noce cioccolato e i laccati, alternati a pelli pregiate e rivestimenti personalizzabili.
Nella suite armatoriale wide body il letto, sostenuto da un basamento recessato che lo rende percettivamente
“fluttuante”, è sovrastato da un ampio specchio che enfatizza le generose dimensioni della cabina, mentre le grandi
finestrature, coperte da tende arricciate, regalano un’incredibile visuale sul panorama esterno. L’arredamento è
completato da un vanity e una cabina armadio. Il bagno, a tutto baglio, si trova a estrema prua, su un livello
leggermente ribassato. Pavimento in parquet, marmi Antolini, mosaici e finiture in ottone caratterizzano
l’ambiente, organizzato in tre parti separate che comprendono servizi, doccia e zona lavabi, sovrastata quest’ultima da
uno specchio OmniDecor DecorFlou bronze.
La parte centrale del ponte regola i flussi di bordo. A dritta si trova l’accesso al ponte inferiore, con ampia zona
storage e day toilet. A sinistra si accede alla cucina, firmata Ernestomeda, da cui si sale in plancia di comando oppure
si esce sul camminamento esterno. Proseguendo verso prua vi è la prima zona tecnica e di monitoraggio impianti,
oltre le quali si trovano le scale per scendere nell’area equipaggio.
La parte nobile del ponte inferiore è disponibile in due layout: quello presentato sulla prima unità prevede 3
grandi cabine en suite.
Questo esclusivo allestimento permette a Ferretti Yachts 920 di sfoggiare una suite matrimoniale full beam a centro
barca, degna di una master cabin, e una seconda VIP sulla murata di sinistra. Completa la zona notte una confortevole
terza cabina a letti singoli. L’arredamento di queste cabine e dei rispettivi bagni riprende, con specifiche
personalizzazioni, i giochi materici e cromatici del ponte superiore.
Il layout a 4 cabine è invece organizzato in due matrimoniali en suite sulla murata di sinistra e due doppie a letti
singoli a dritta.
Grande attenzione è dedicata all’equipaggio: oltre a una dinette con area laundry, il comandante beneficia di
una cabina privata en suite, mentre i marinai possono riposare in due cabine doppie, con bagno in comune dotato di
doccia separata. Anche per questa zona è disponibile un secondo layout con cabina comandante a estrema prua.
La pilot house è un ambiente esclusivamente tecnico e dall’aspetto “futuristico”, da cui il comandante gestisce
l’intero yacht grazie a un’ampia plancia, dotata di una timoneria di nuova generazione, con display multipli touch screen
che integrano monitoraggio di bordo e strumenti di navigazione.
MOTORIZZAZIONE
Ferretti Yachts 920 è disponibile in tre diversi tipi di propulsione, tutti MTU.
La prima unità installa una coppia di motori a 16V, 2000 M96, dalla potenza di 2435 Mhp, che consentiranno
all’imbarcazione di raggiungere i 26 nodi ad andatura di crociera e i 30 nodi di velocità massima. (dati
preliminari).
Su Ferretti Yachts 920 sono incluse anche pinne zero speed e stabilizzatori Seakeeper.
