Anyone called George or Georgiana (including the equivalent names in any language) will have free admission to the Columbus Monument Viewpoint on 23rd April, Sant Jordi’s Day.
Turisme de Barcelona, which is responsible for managing one of the city’s best-loved landmarks, has decided to launch this special offer as a way of further promoting this major highlight that each year welcomes over 130,000 visitors.
The Viewpoint includes a wine tourism information point, offering a series of promotional activities and the sale of tourist services related to oenology, and the culture of wine and cava in Barcelona’s regions, with up to 70 different products.
To commemorate World Book Day, which is also held on 23rd April, admission to the Viewpoint will also be free for everyone that purchases a copy of the Barcelona Wine, a book co-edited by Turisme de Barcelona and Barcelona Provincial Council (Diputació de Barcelona). Visitors will also be able to take advantage of this offer by buying the Articket BCN, which includes admission to Barcelona’s top six museums, or if they purchase a wine product.
