Sotto gli occhi del console di San Marino Maurizio Bragagni Gass Racing centra un importante secondo posto e resta al comando del mondiale delle energie alternative
Ancora una volta Gass Racing è protagonista di una gara della Bridgestone Fia Ecorally Cup con il secondo posto ottenuto nell’Ecorally Scotland disputato nella regione di Dundee sabato e domenica. Undicesimo podio consecutivo che migliora ulteriormente il record che Guerrini e Prusak già detenevano e che gli permette di conservare il primato nella classifica Fia.
Per la prima volta il circus mondiale è approdato in un paese con la guida a sinistra e con le miglia al posto dei chilometri. Le novità hanno sicuramente pesato nelle difficoltà che molti concorrenti hanno avuto durante la gara. La prima delle due giornate vedeva Guerrini e Prusal essere in testa davanti alla coppia ceca Zdarsky-Nabelek campioni del mondo in carica. Il secondo giorno gli iridati hanno preso in mano la situazione vincendo la classifica della regolarità proprio davanti alla Kia E-Niro di Gass Racing. Terzo gradino del podio per la coppia bulgara Dedikov-Dedikova seguiti dai lettoni Caunes-Svencis e dagli svizzeri Ott-Ott.
Nella conferenza stampa di fine gara svoltasi presso il Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc di Dundee Guido Guerrini ha ammesso le difficoltà avute nel gestire una gara molto diversa da quelle affrontate in passato soffermandosi sul
buon secondo posto e sull’aver perso solo tre punti dai principali rivali. “Un ringraziamento speciale al console di San Marino in Gran Bretagna Maurizio Bragagni che ha presenziato e supportato il team bianco-azzurro per l’intera durata dell’evento.
La classifica iridata vede ancora al comando Guerrini con 94 punti seguito da Zdarsky che con la recente vittoria si porta a quota 81. Dedikov e il team bulgaro guida il gruppo degli inseguitori a quota 37,5.
Prossimo appuntamento in terra svizzera per l’ottava prova iridata della Bridgestone Fia Ecorally Cup. L’E-Rallye Chablais, vinto da Gass Racing nell’edizione 2024, si svolgerà nell’ultimo fine settimana di agosto e vedrà al via ancora una volta sia il
team italo-sammarinese che i migliori equipaggi mondiali.
