Harrop, Lietha are the first winners of the season

Emily Harrop (France) started the season with a win

Lausanne – French athlete Emily Harrop opened the new ISMF World Cup season with a victory. Last year’s overall winner was able to avoid mistakes and kept a good lead in the downhill to the finish.

Marianne Fatton of Switzerland finished second in the first race after a year-long pause, with Giulia Murada completing the podium. Marianna Jagerčíková (Slovakia) was elbow to elbow with Harrop, but she made a mistake on the foot part and finished fifth.

In the men’s category, it was a big Swiss party as they took the first four places. Arno Lietha won in such a style. Iwan Arnold took second place right ahead of the rookie Thomas Bussard, who left a perfect impression on his debut in the elite category.
