Area Zero D’Amico è pronta ad affrontare i prossimi impegni agonistici. La formazione continental tutta italiana diretta da Ivan De Paolis e Andrea Tonti ha appena concluso con successo lo stage di allenamento fatto a Bormio in Valtellina.
“E’ stata una settimana intensa” spiega il preparatore atletico di Area Zero D’Amico Paolo Santello, “abbiamo fatto degli allenamenti importanti sia come chilometraggio che come dislivello, alternando anche dei lavori specifici sulla forza e la velocità. Venerdì i ragazzi hanno fatto quasi 7 ore in bicicletta, oltre 170 km, con circa 4mila metri di dislivello tra Italia e Svizzera con Passo del Foscagno, Forcola, Bernina, Fuorn Pass e Stelvio. Per atleti giovani come sono i nostri, molti dei quali neoprofessionisti, queste diventano esperienze formative fondamentali nel percorso di crescita di un corridore. Inoltre siamo stati fortunati perché come nel precedente stage di giugno abbiamo avuto condizioni climatiche davvero ottimali.”
Area Zero esce da Bormio guardando con grande motivazione e determinazione ai prossimi impegni agonistici. “Ci aspetta un week-end tutto toscano, sabato 26 luglio saremo in gara al GP Industria e Artigianato di Lanciano e domenica 27 si replica con il Giro di Toscana” spiega Andrea Tonti team manager e direttore sportivo di Area Zero D’Amico. “Il 31 luglio poi saremo in Spagna per il Circuito de Getxo, prima di volare in Sudamerica per la Vuelta a Colombia in programma dal 6 al 17 agosto.”
“Siamo molto soddisfatti perché grazie alla partnership tra la nostra squadra e QCTerme Bagni di Bormio, che ha messo a nostra completa disponibilità una struttura ricettiva e servizi di prim’ordine, abbiamo potuto svolgere un ottimo lavoro” continua a spiegare Andrea Tonti. “Noi veniamo qui a Bormio per allenarci, ma questa location grazie ai servizi di QC Terme diventa l’ideale per gli appassionati che vogliono vivere una vacanza all’insegna del relax e della bicicletta.”
Area Zero D’Amico che nella giornata odierna è stata ospite, in qualità di punta di diamante del reparto corse Bottecchia, alla presentazione della nuova collezione di biciclette firmate Bottecchia per il 2015 che si è svolta presso la magnifica cornice offerta da Castelbrando, in Provincia di Treviso. Nella nuova collezione proposta dallo storico marchio di Cavarzere (Venezia) brilla il modello Bottecchia Emme3 che rappresenta l’evoluzione del modello Emme2 utilizzato quest’anno dai corridori di Area Zero D’Amico.

Area Zero D’Amico is ready to take on their upcoming competitive responsibilities. The all-Italian continental formation led by Ivan De Paolis and Andrea Tonti has just successfully concluded their training camp in Bormio, Valtellina.
“It was an intense week,” explains the athletic coach for Area Zero D’Amico Paolo Santello. “We performed some important training both in distance and on gradients, alternating with specific workouts for strength and speed. On Friday the guys spent almost 7 hours on their bikes and rode more than 170 km, with about 4 thousand metres of altitude difference between Italy and Switzerland, covering the passes at Foscagno, Forcola, Bernina, Fuorn Pass and Stelvio. For young athletes like ours, many of whom are new to the pros, these types of workouts become fundamental learning experiences in the growth process of a rider. We were also very lucky because, like the last training camp we did, we had really perfect weather.”
Area Zero leaves Bormio motivated and determined to face their upcoming competitive commitments. “An all-Tuscan weekend awaits us; on Saturday, July 26th, we will be in the race at the GP Industria e Artigianato di Lanciano and on Sunday, July 27th, there will be a repeat performance with the Giro di Toscana,” explains Andrea Tonti, team manager and sports coach for Area Zero D’Amico. “Then on July 31st we will be in Spain for the Circuito de Getxo, before flying to South America for the Vuelta a Colombia scheduled from August 6th to the 17th.”

Today Area Zero D’Amico were special guests and shining representatives of the Bottecchia racing division at the presentation of the new collection of bicycles for 2015 by Bottecchia, which was held against the splendid backdrop offered by Castelbrando in the Province of Treviso. The new collection offered by the historic brand from Cavarzere (Venezia) is highlighted by the Bottecchia Emme3 model, which represents the evolution of the Emme2 model used this year by the riders on Area Zero D’Amico.
