ILO FOR NILUFAR
For this year’s Salone Ilo Rugs has presented a collection of hand woven metallic rugs in gold and silver tones and gold and copper entitled Coco Vermeil and Coco Tombaga named after the alloys of silver and gold and gold and copper.
Coco Vermeil is featured in Bethan Laura Wood’s project at Via della Spiga and Coco Tombaga is presented in Claude Missir’s project at the Nilufar Depot.
Almst Blck is a young dynamic furniture brand with a foot in Europe and India.

ILO presents IMMERSE
For this year’s Salone ILO Rugs will present its dream-like collection of rugs set within a very special interior in the palazzo Cesare Correnti 14. The ethereal setting is further enhanced by a fantastic light installation that will reveal the carpets in the most sensorial way.
ILO is continuing to push the boundaries of craft and design by introducing a new material into its palette of designer rugs: metallic yarn. The reflections of gold and silver tones transform these pieces into veritable objet d’art.
STUDIOPEPE & ALMST BLCK present DHARMA a furniture collection
The Milanese Design Studio teams with furniture brand Almst Blck to create its signature collection of edition pieces.
A collection of sculptural elements, composed by chairs, daybeds, tables, cabinets and more, characterized by pure geometries and enhanced by precious surfaces and materials: solid black basalt stone, marble, concrete, and many others, all handcrafted by Indian artisans.
This east west collaboration joins Italian design and Indian handcraft heritage as a tribute to Le Corbusier’s and Pierre Jeanneret’s work in India, and the design of the iconic pieces of Chandigarh.
The collection entitled Dharma will be an itinerant exhibition that will launch in Milan during Salone del Mobile and then travel around globe through America Europe and Asia.
MASSIMILIANO CAMOLETTO ILO and ALMST BLCK present INTO THE DESERT
A beautiful poetic vision of international award-winning architect Massimiliano Camoletto, Into the Desert explores the wild and untamed stretches of arid land that surround most of his Middle Eastern Projects. Camolletto has designed a stunning intervention in the Palazzo at Cesare Correnti that transforms 18th century panelled rooms into a desert-like room with his new rug collection and furniture.
Camoletto’s exhibition will showcase his furniture design and his his first foray in to rug design with Ilo.

ILO presenta IMMERSE
Per la Design Week 2019 ILO Rugs presentera? la sua collezione di tappeti da sogno, allestita in un interno molto speciale in via Cesare Correnti 14. L’allestimento e? reso ancora piu? etereo grazie a una fantastica installazione luminosa che mostrera? i tappeti attraverso un approccio sensoriale.
ILO continua a superare i limiti dell’artigianato e del design, introducendo un nuovo materiale nella sua gamma di tappeti di design: il filo metallico. I riflessi dei toni oro e argento trasformano questi pezzi in veri e propri oggetti d’arte.
STUDIOPEPE & ALMST BLCK presentano DHARMA una collezione d’arredamento
Studiopepe, noto studio di design milanese, collabora con il brand Almst Blck per creare una collezione di pezzi composta da elementi scultorei: sedie, daybed, tavoli, tavolini e altro, caratterizzati da geometrie pure e impreziosite da superfici e materiali pregiati: basalto nero, marmo, cemento e altri, tutti realizzati a mano da artigiani Indiani.?
Questa collaborazione unisce il design italiano al patrimonio artigianale Indiano, rendendo omaggio alle opere di Le Corbusier e Pierre Jeanneret in India e al design dei pezzi iconici di Chandigarh.
La collezione, chiamata Dharma, sara? itinerante e verra? presentata a Milano durante il Salone del Mobile ad Aprile 2019, per poi viaggiare in tutto il mondo attraverso l’America, l’Europa e l’Asia.
MASSIMILIANO CAMOLETTO ILO and ALMST BLCK present INTO THE DESERT
Visione poetica di Massimiliano Camoletto – architetto premiato a livello internazionale – Into the Desert esplora le selvagge distese di terra arida in cui e? ambientata la maggior parte dei suoi progetti in Medio Oriente. Camolletto ha progettato un sorprendente intervento nel Palazzo di Cesare Correnti, che trasforma le sue sale del XVIII secolo in un ambiente desertico con la sua nuova collezione di tappeti e mobili.
La mostra esibira? i mobili di Camoletto e rappresenta la sua prima incursione nel mondo del design del tappeto con Ilo.?
Thierry Betancourt
Direttore Creativo ILO
Basato su Parigi e Mumbai, il designer Thierry Betancourt è la mente creativa dietro ILO. Betancourt ha fatto il suo corso di laurea in storia dell’arte ed è stato uno specialista di mobili del XVIII secolo con Sotheby’s prima di intraprendere una carriera nel design. Nel 2009 si trasferisce in India e inizia a disegnare mobili, un’esperienza che lo porta ad entrare nella scuderia di designer rappresentata dalla Galleria Nilufar di Milano.
Sharan Parekh
Direttore ILO
L’imprenditore di design di Mumbai, Sharan Parekh, proviene dalla famiglia dietro uno dei più antichi specialisti tessili del paese. Al timone dell’azienda di famiglia, con diversi anni di esperienza, Parekh è un esperto nella coltivazione di aziende di design di successo, catering per clienti in tutto il mondo.
Laureata alla Kingston University, Sharan ha preso le sue competenze dal campo dell’ingegneria e le ha applicate creativamente alla strutturazione di progetti di successo.
Parekh ha lanciato ILO nel 2015 come risposta alla crescente domanda di tappeti sostenibili ed eticamente realizzati con una nuova estetica unica. L’ILO lavora esclusivamente con artigiani in India e Nepal, contribuendo a mantenere viva una tradizione che annoda la mano tramandata da generazioni.
