Just over a month after the KZ World title won by Marijn Kremers, along with the double with Riccardo Longhi, the Italian Birel ART chassis brand has confirmed that it is a formidable weapon for the drivers in gearbox categories.
In the first round of the WSK Open Cup at Lonato, Giuseppe Palomba dominated his competitors by winning all his races, including the Final, with a good lead.
Palomba did not take long to win a big race at the wheel of a Birel ART-TM, only a few months after his arrival at the official team. The Italian driver was very comfortable on the benchmark track of South Garda Karting. From the beginning of the meeting, he found himself at the front of the field by achieving 2nd in Timed Qualifying. Alongside drivers like Stan Pex, Alessio Lorandi and Giacomo Pollini, Palomba was fastest in the heats with three consecutive wins!
“I admit to having made excellent starts each time,” said Giuseppe. “But most importantly, the equipment proved to be super efficient over the laps, which allowed me to control my position as soon as I found myself in the lead.”
The Prefinal was to be just as sparkling for Palomba. “Pollini managed to take the lead for a few laps, but I was able to retake him and protect myself from a possible attack. I set the fastest lap in the race, which will also remain as the absolute record of the event. I arrived in the Final with confidence. “
An intense and positive weekend
Continuously effective in all sectors of the Lonato circuit, the Birel ART chassis took Giuseppe Palomba to victory again, this time in the Final with an even greater lead. “It was a busy weekend for the Birel ART factory,” said the staff of the Italian factory. “At Sarno, our team managed the supply of equipment perfectly during the Rotax World Final in Sarno. At the same time, our race team was also ready for this first round of the WSK Open Cup at Lonato. Regarding the quality of our products, this new success is a very positive sign sent to our distributors around the world.”
Andrea Dale now driving a Birel ART
Also in KZ2, the Birel ART brand was pleased with the level of performance of the driver Andrea Dale, 7th after the heats. Unfortunately an incident at the start of the Prefinal deprived him of a good result. As for Leonardo Marseglia, he was quick in Qualifying (P5), before winning his place in the top 10 in the Final. However, a penalty for an unhooked spoiler pushed him back to 11th position. Forced to retire in the Prefinal, Andrea Rosso concluded his Final with a remarkable comeback from 30th to 19th place.
The Birel ART team also welcomed the Italian Matteo Massetani in OK, the Finn Nico Lahnalahti and the Dutchman Thijs Keeren in 60 Mini, as well as the Italian Cristian Bertuca, the Indian Ruhaan Alva and the Italian Lorenzo Ressico D’Aloisio in OK-Junior. The latter had some great results at Lonato, such as a 3rd place in a heat and a Prefinal where he was 4th for several laps.
Implacabile dominio di Palomba e di Birel ART nella KZ2
Solo un mese dopo il titolo di Campione del mondo KZ conquistato da Marijn Kremers, insieme a una doppietta di Riccardo Longhi, il telaio del marchio italiano Birel ART ha confermato che era un’arma formidabile per i piloti delle categorie con cambio. Durante la prima prova della WSK Open Cup a Lonato, Giuseppe Palomba ha ampiamente dominato sui suoi concorrenti vincendo tutte le sue gare, tra cui la finale con un bel distacco.
Palomba non ha impiegato molto tempo per vincere una grande prova al volante di un Birel ART-TM solo pochi mesi dopo il suo arrivo nel team ufficiale. Il pilota italiano si dimostrato molto a suo agio sul circuito di riferimento del South Garda Karting. Sin dall’inizio del meeting, si è ritrovato nelle prime posizioni realizzando il secondo tempo nelle prove cronometrate. In presenza di piloti come Stan Pex, Alessio Lorandi o Giacomo Pollini, Palomba ha accelerato il ritmo nelle manche conquistando tre vittorie consecutive.
“Ammetto di essere partito sempre bene”, ha dichiarato Giuseppe. “Ma soprattutto il mezzo si è rivelato super efficace giro dopo giro, ciò che mi ha permesso di poter controllare la mia posizione non appena mi sono ritrovato in testa.”
La prefinale si rivela altrettanto scintillante per Palomba. “Pollini è riuscito ad andare in vantaggio per alcuni giri, ma l’ho risuperato e mi sono messo al riparo da un eventuale attacco. Ho fatto segnare il giro più veloce in gara, che resterà anche il record assoluto della prova. Sono arrivato in finale in tutta tranquillità.”
Un week-end intenso e positivo
Sempre efficace in tutti i settori del circuito di Lonato, il telaio Birel ART porta ancora alla vittoria Giuseppe Palomba, questa volta in finale con un vantaggio ancora più consistente. “È stato un week-end molto proficuo per Birel ART”, ha constatato lo staff del marchio italiano. “A Sarno il nostro team ha gestito alla perfezione la fornitura del materiale in occasione della finale mondiale. Parallelamente, il nostro reparto corse si è fatto trovare pronto per questa prima prova della WSK Open Cup di Lonato. Per quanto concerne la qualità dei nostri prodotti, questo nuovo successo è un segno molto positivo che diamo ai nostri distributori in tutto il mondo.”
Andrea Dale ormai al volante di un Birel ART
Sempre nella KZ2, il marchio Birel ART è stato soddisfatto del livello di performance del pilota Andrea Dale, settimo dopo le manche. Peccato che un incidente alla partenza della prefinale lo abbia privato di un buon risultato. Per quanto riguarda Leonardo Marseglia, si è dimostrato veloce nelle prove cronometrate (P5), per poi guadagnarsi un posto tra i Top-10 nella finale. Purtroppo, una penalità per spoiler staccato lo ha fatto retrocedere in undicesima posizione. Costretto al ritiro in prefinale, Andrea Rosso ha concluso la sua finale con una rimonta notevole, dal 30° al 19° posto.
Il team Birel ART ha accolto anche l’italiano Matteo Massetani nella OK, il finlandese Nico Lahnalahti e l’olandese Thijs Keeren nella 60 Mini, oltre all’italiano Cristian Bertuca, l’indiano Ruhaan Alva e l’italiano Lorenzo Ressico D’Aloisio nella OK-Junior. Quest’ultimo ha realizzato delle belle performance a Lonato, con una manche chiusa al terzo posto e una prefinale dove ha occupato la quarta posizione per molti giri.

À peine plus d’un mois après le titre de Champion du Monde KZ acquis par Marijn Kremers, assorti du doublé avec Riccardo Longhi, le châssis de la marque italienne Birel ART a confirmé qu’il était une arme redoutable pour les pilotes des catégories à boîte de vitesses. Lors de la première épreuve de la WSK Open Cup à Lonato, Giuseppe Palomba a largement dominé ses concurrents en gagnant toutes ses courses, dont la finale avec une belle avance.
Palomba n’aura pas mis beaucoup de temps pour remporter une grande épreuve au volant d’un Birel ART-TM, seulement quelques mois après son arrivée au sein du team officiel. Le pilote italien s’est montré très à l’aise sur le tracé de référence du South Garda Karting. Dès le début du meeting, il se retrouvait aux avant-postes en réalisant le deuxième temps des essais chronométrés. En présence de pilotes comme Stan Pex, Alessio Lorandi ou Giacomo Pollini, Palomba passait la vitesse supérieure dans les manches en alignant trois victoires consécutives !
“J’avoue avoir pris d’excellents départs à chaque fois”, avouait Giuseppe. “Mais surtout, le matériel s’est avéré super efficace au fil des tours, ce qui m’a permis de pouvoir contrôler ma position dès que je me suis retrouvé en tête.”
La préfinale va se révéler tout aussi étincelante pour Palomba. “Pollini a réussi à prendre l’avantage durant quelques tours, mais j’ai pu le repasser et me mettre à l’abri d’une éventuelle attaque. J’ai réalisé le meilleur tour en course, qui restera aussi comme le record absolu de l’épreuve. Je suis arrivé en finale en toute confiance.”
Un week-end intense et positif
Toujours aussi efficace dans tous les secteurs du circuit de Lonato, le châssis Birel ART va encore mener Giuseppe Palomba à la victoire, cette fois en finale avec une avance encore plus conséquente. “Ce fut un week-end bien rempli pour l’usine Birel ART,” constatait le staff de l’usine italienne. “À Sarno, notre équipe a parfaitement géré la fourniture du matériel lors de la Finale Mondiale à Sarno. Parallèlement, notre structure course était également fin prête pour cette première épreuve de la WSK Open Cup à Lonato. Concernant la qualité de nos produits, ce nouveau succès est un signe très positif envoyé à nos distributeurs dans le monde entier.”
Andrea Dale désormais au volant d’un Birel ART
Toujours en KZ2, la marque Birel ART s’est réjouie du niveau de performance du pilote Andrea Dale, 7e après les manches. Dommage qu’un incident au départ de la préfinale l’ait privé d’un bon résultat. Quant à Leonardo Marseglia, il s’est montré rapide aux chronos (P5), avant de gagner sa place dans le top-10 en finale. Hélas, une pénalité pour spoiler décroché le repoussait en 11e position. Contraint à l’abandon en préfinale, Andrea Rosso a conclu sa finale par une remontée remarquée de la 30e à la 19e place.
Le team Birel ART accueillait aussi l’Italien Matteo Massetani en OK, le Finlandais Nico Lahnalahti et le Néerlandais Thijs Keeren en 60 Mini, ainsi que l’Italien Cristian Bertuca, l’Indien Ruhaan Alva et l’Italien Lorenzo Ressico D’Aloisio en OK-Junior. Ce dernier a réalisé de belles choses à Lonato, à l’image d’une manche bouclée en 3e position et d’une préfinale où il a occupé la 4e place durant plusieurs tours.
