Providing information with added value that will contribute to the promotion and export of services and products abroad was the main objective of the learning sessions for professionals offered by Turisme de Barcelona as part of its mission to become a knowledge transfer centre.
The first training session was held on 6th April at Barcelona’s Hotel Claris, targeting tour operators and agencies. It was attended by inbound agencies and operators, including several focused on specific markets such as China and Japan, although the Consortium plans to extend the sessions to other areas and industries such as hotels, tourist guides, etc.
Essentially, the aim is to provide knowledge and know-how for the sector, allowing for the creation of new experiences and unique attractions that can be incorporated into travel itineraries, as well as offering our visitors quality and values such as authenticity, culture and sustainability.
