Calendar and regulations for next season defined. Anti-doping: clean sporting The Plenary Assembly of ISMF (International Ski Mountaineering Federation) was held last weekend in Turin. Organized by the Board of the Federation, the Assembly also had the purpose of closing the 2011/2012 season and lay down the basis for new projects in view of the next World Cup and World Ski Mountaineering Championship competitions scheduled for next February in Pelvoux, France.
The fifteen national Federations that attended the Turin meeting – Germany, Turkey, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Spain (FEDME and FEEC), Andorra, Russia, France, Portugal, Japan, Korea and Italy â?" who were also attending as proxies for the Canadian, Bulgarian, Norwegian and Argentinian Federations, discussed and enacted the regulations that will govern the next season. The changes made to the rules (which are presently being published in the official website of the Federation) essentially concern the technical aspects of the competitions, with a special focus on level differences.
During the first part of the debate, the Turkish and Russian Federations presented two sport events as candidates to be included among the international competitions of the Federation.
After a year of work under the guidance of the new president Armando Mariotta, the International Federation prepared a first detailed report and proposed some changes to the federal layout.
