Juan Manuel will start tomorrow from 24th in the first race on Saturday at 10h35
A complicated and very close qualifying session that left the first 24 drivers separated by less than one second, has made the weekend complicated for Juan Manuel, but he does not lose his optimism, as always.
The weekend did not start as expected for American driver Juan Manuel Correa, who will have to face the rest of the competition on Saturday and Sunday “uphill”.
The Austrian Red Bull Ring track is characterised by an uphill start all the way to turn three, after which the track starts to descend until turn 10, which leads to the finish straight. For Juan Manuel the first race will be a real challenge as he has to start from the back of the grid and start a recovery in a weekend that has been difficult for him since qualifying.
“It was a difficult start of the weekend. Neither free practice nor qualifying went as expected and we will have to start tomorrow’s race from 24th on the grid. As always, there is something positive, we learn a lot from what happens on a day like today. We will have to fight to improve positions and overtaking and keep learning from situations like this. We’ll see how it goes and hopefully something positive will come out of it to improve the weekend.
