Due secondi posti non sono bastati a Tony Cairoli (Ktm) per vincere il GP dell’Argentina della classe MXGP, terzo appuntamento del mondiale motocross 2015.
Sul circuito di Neuquen il campione siciliano è stato beffato per un solo punto da Max Nagl (Husqvarna) e Clement Desalle (Suzuki), che hanno vinto una manche a testa piazzandosi al terzo posto nell’altra. Grazie al miglior piazzamento nella manche2 la vittoria di giornata è andata al tedesco, ma Desalle conserva la testa della classifica con 133 punti davanti a Nagl e al “nostro” Cairoli che seguono con 123. Sono punti preziosi quelli conquistati da Tony Cairoli, il mondiale è appena iniziato, sarà una stagione lunga e difficile. La regolarità è un aspetto fondamentale per chi vuole vincere il titolo iridato e questo Tony, dall’alto dell’esperienza dei suoi 8 titoli mondiali, lo sa molto bene.
Per i colori Sidi la notizia più bella che arriva dall’Argentina è però il terzo posto di Jeremy Seewer (Suzuki) nella gara della MX2. Per il giovane pilota svizzero (classe 1994), che è stato premiato da una condotta di gara impeccabile, pulita e senza errori, si tratta del primo podio in carriera in questa categoria.

MOTOCROSS: SIDI ON THE PODIUM IN ARGENTINA

Two second place finishes were not enough for Tony Cairoli (Ktm) to win the MXGP class in the Argentina GP, the third appointment on the 2015 Motocross World Championship calendar. On the Neuquen racetrack Max Nagl (Husqvarna) and Clement Desalle (Suzuki) each won one heat but placed third in the other, beating the Sicilian champion by just one point. Thanks to the best placement in the second round, victory went to the German, but Desalle continues leading the standings with 133 points, ahead of Nagl and Cairoli, who follow with 123. However, Tony Cairoli has garnered some more valuable points. The World Championship has just gotten underway and it’s going to be a long, hard season. Consistency is a fundamental aspect in winning the Championship Cup, and from his experience winning 8 World titles Tony knows this very well.
The best news out of Argentina for the Sidi colours is the third place by Jeremy Seewer (Suzuki) in the MX2 race. The young Swiss rider (born in 1994) was rewarded for conducting a clean race with no errors. This is the first podium in this category of his career.
