Il Mondiale che verrà per la MotoGP è già iniziato con i primi test stagionali in pista a Sepang in Malesia. Molti piloti stanno ancora completando la preparazione invernale lontani dai circuiti.
Ma le nuove moto e i nuovi motori hanno bisogno di macinare chilometri. A far debuttare in pista la nuova Ducati ci ha pensato Michele Pirro che in Malesia ha testato entrambe le moto che questa settimana saranno poi affidate ai piloti titolari, Andrea Dovizioso e Andrea Iannone.
In pista con con Michele Pirro anche quest’anno ci sono gli stivali Sidi Sport. Per professionalità, serietà, disponibilità e simpatia Pirro è diventato uno dei punti fermi della grande famiglia dei piloti Sidi. A Sepang Michele Pirro, classe 1986 pugliese di San Giovanni Rotondo, ha girato in pista con la nuova Ducati GP16 ancora con la livrea color carbonio, in attesa di vestire i colori ufficiali per il mondiale 2016, inanellando una cinquantina di giri e dichiarandosi molto soddisfatto del lavoro svolto.
Un ruolo fondamentale quello di Michele Pirro che ormai da molte stagioni riveste il ruolo di jolly alla Ducati contribuendo allo sviluppo della moto e facendosi sempre trovare pronto in caso di necessità, sia come sostituto di eventuali piloti infortunati, sia come wildcard. E quando ha l’occassione di scendere in pista in gara Pirro difficilmente delude dando sempre il massimo. Nella stagione 2015 il pilota pugliese ha corso nei gran premi d’Italia, San Marino e Comunità Valenciana come wildcard, totalizzando 12 punti che sono valsi il 20° posto nella classifica finale. Sempre nel 2015 ha partecipato ai gran premi di San Marino e Spagna del mondiale Superbike, sostituendo un pilota infortunato alla guida della Ducati ufficiale. The upcoming MotoGP World Championship has already gotten started with the first tests of the season on the Sepang raceway in Malaysia. Many riders are still completing their winter training far from the circuits. But the new motorcycles and new engines need to start tacking up some miles. It was up to Michele Pirro to ride the new Ducati on its track debut. In Malaysia he tested both motorcycles, which will then be entrusted to headline riders Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone.
Sidi Sport boots will be on the speedway with Michele Pirro again this year. Pirro has become a steady presence in the great family of Sidi riders for his professionalism, seriousness, approachability and friendliness. Michele Pirro was born in San Giovanni Rotondo, Puglia in 1986. At Sepang he took a spin around the track with the Ducati GP16, still with its carbon coloured chassis, as he looks forward to wearing the official colours for the 2016 World Series. After fifty laps or so he declared that he is quite pleased with the work that’s been done.
For many seasons now Michele Pirro has been playing the fundamental role of a jolly at Ducati, contributing to the development of the motorcycle. He is always ready when called upon, either as a substitute for injured riders or as a wildcard. And when he gets the chance to hit the track to race Pirro rarely disappoints, always giving it his all. In the 2015 season the Italian rider from Puglia raced in the Grand Prix races in Italy, San Marino and Comunità Valenciana as a wildcard, racking up 12 points, which were enough to put him in 20th place in the final standings. In 2015 he also participated in the San Marino and Spanish GP races in the Superbike World Series, substituting an injured rider on the official Ducati.
