In the third round of the WSK Euro Series held at Lonato, Rashid Al Dhaheri took 3rd place on the 60 Mini podium while returning to 2nd place in the Championship.
In OK, Gabriele Mini’ had an incredible mishap when he was due to achieve an excellent result. The common point of these two outcomes remains the high standard of performance of the Parolin / TM in international competition.
“It is impossible not to be disappointed by the mishap that hit Gabriele Mini,” said Marco Parolin. “Losing a piece of bodywork in the middle of the Prefinal when we were closing on the leader is still a painful moment. Fortunately, our competitiveness was once again excellent this weekend. And Rashid Al Dhaheri managed to race well in the 60 Mini category despite tough battles.”
The demonstration continues
The chassis manufacturer Parolin Racing Kart can once again be congratulated on its top position in the 60 Mini category with 40% of the WSK Euro Series field at Lonato. Success was also there with the two fastest times of Qualifying, the leadership of the Qualifying Heats 12 wins out of 15 and 11 fastest laps in the race set by seven different drivers. The competition continued with both wins in the Prefinal and the Final victory with the fastest lap in the race. In addition, Parolin placed five of its chassis in the top six.
Al Dhaheri shines in adversity
The 60 Mini competition was even livelier than usual in Qualifying. After setting the 12th fastest time, Rashid Al Dhaheri drove four very good heats, but gave up in the last. 17th in the intermediate classification, he performed magnificently by taking 2nd place in his Prefinal and continued his momentum reaching 3rd in the Final. With this important result, Rashid has progressed to 2nd place in the Championship.
Very effective in the heats, Keanu Al Azahri set two fastest times and finished with a 2nd place and a victory, which gained him 10 positions over his Qualifying position. Although he was a little ahead in Prefinal A when his line started less well, Keanu fought bravely to gain ground in 12th place in the Final. Among the other three drivers of the team qualified for the Final, Giovanni Trentin finished 17th with a gain of 20 places since Qualifying and Maxens Verbrugge took 35 places to finish 22nd.
Unrewarded effort for Mini’
Gabriele Mini’s justifiable ambitions in OK flew away with his bodywork in Prefinal A of the WSK Euro Series. This is all the more regrettable because he was extremely competitive at Lonato. Twice 2nd and once victorious in the heats, he set two fastest times. He came back to 2nd in the Prefinal and was close to the leader when he was forced to stop. Hugo Sasse, meanwhile, made a promising comeback to 8th in the Final with a total gain of ten places during the weekend. The results for the young OK-Junior drivers were less eloquent, with only Brando Badoer managing to qualify for the Final after three strong heats.
The Parolin Racing team will have little time to breathe before heading to the Adria circuit for the last round of the WSK Euro Series from 27th to 30th June.
Nuovo podio 60 Mini nella WSK Euro Series a Lonato
In occasione della terza prova della WSK Euro Series che si è svolta a Lonato, Rashid Al Dhaheri è salito sul terzo gradino del podio della 60 Mini conquistando il secondo posto in campionato. Nella OK, Gabriele Minì è stato protagonista di una disavventura incredibile proprio mentre stava per conquistare un risultato eccellente. Il punto comune di questi due percorsi rimane l’elevato livello di performance dei Parolin/TM nelle competizioni internazionali.
“È impossibile non essere delusi dall’inconveniente che ha avuto Gabriele Minì”, ha ammesso Marco Parolin. “Perdere un pezzo di carenatura nel bel mezzo della prefinale mentre stai rimontando sul leader è un momento doloroso. Fortunatamente, la nostra competitività è stata ancora una volta eccellente questo week-end. E Rashid Al Dhaheri è riuscito a cavarsela nella categoria 60 Mini nonostante le dure battaglie.”
La dimostrazione prosegue
Il costruttore di telai Parolin Racing Kart può ancora una volta ritenersi soddisfatto del posto d’onore che occupa nella categoria 60 Mini con il 40% del parterre della WSK Euro Series a Lonato. Il successo non è mancato all’appuntamento grazie ai due migliori tempi nelle prove cronometrate, alla leadership delle manche di qualificazione, con dodici vittorie su quindici e undici giri più veloci in gara realizzati da sette piloti diversi. La competizione è proseguita con le due vittorie in prefinale e la vittoria finale accompagnata dal giro più veloce in gara. Inoltre, Parolin ha piazzato cinque dei suoi telai nella Top-6.
Al Dhaheri brilla nelle avversità
La gara 60 Mini è stata più animata del solito fin dalle prove di qualificazione. Autore del dodicesimo tempo, Rashid Al Dhaheri ha disputato quattro manche stupende, ma ha dovuto rinunciare nell’ultima. Diciassettesimo nella classifica provvisoria, è stato protagonista di un exploit conquistando il secondo posto della sua prefinale e ha continuato su questa scia raggiungendo il terzo posto in finale. Forte di questo importante risultato, Rashid è salito al secondo posto del Campionato.
Molto efficace nelle manche, Keanu Al Azhari ha firmato due migliori tempi e ha terminato con un secondo posto e poi una vittoria che gli ha permesso di recuperare dieci posizioni rispetto alle prove cronometrate. Se nella prefinale A ha segnato un po’ il passo quando la sua fila partiva meno bene, Keanu si è battuto coraggiosamente per recuperare terreno dalla dodicesima fila della finale. Tra gli altri tre piloti del team qualificati per la finale, Giovanni Trentin ha concluso al diciassettesimo posto con un recupero di venti posizioni rispetto alle prove e Maxens Verbrugge ne ha recuperate trentacinque concludendo al ventiduesimo posto.
Impegno non ricompensato per Minì
Le ambizioni giustificate di Gabriele Minì nella OK sono svanite proprio come è successo alla sua carenatura nella prefinale A della WSK Euro Series. E ciò dispiace ancora di più perché era estremamente competitivo a Lonato. Due volte secondo e una volta primo nelle manche, ha realizzato due migliori tempi. Nella prefinale è rimontato al secondo posto e mentre si stava avvicinando al leader è stato costretto al ritiro. Hugo Sasse ha realizzato una rimonta promettente all’ottavo posto della finale con un guadagno totale di dieci posizioni nel corso del week-end. Il risultato dei giovani piloti OK-Junior è stato meno eclatante, soltanto Brando Badoer è riuscito a qualificarsi per la finale dopo tre solide manche.
Il team Parolin Racing non avrà nemmeno il tempo di respirare prima dell’appuntamento ad Adria per l’ultima prova della WSK Euro Series in programma dal 27 al 30 giugno.
Nouveau podium 60 Mini en WSK Euro Series à Lonato
Lors de la 3e épreuve de la WSK Euro Series qui s’est déroulée à Lonato, Rashid Al Dhaheri est monté sur la 3e marche du podium 60 Mini tout en revenant 2e au championnat. En OK, Gabriele Mini’ a connu une incroyable mésaventure alors qu’il était en passe de réaliser un excellent résultat. Le point commun de ces deux parcours reste le haut niveau de performance des Parolin/TM en compétition internationale.
« Il est impossible de ne pas être déçu par la déconvenue qui a frappé Gabriele Mini », confiait Marco Parolin. « Perdre un morceau de carrosserie en pleine préfinale alors que l’on était en train de revenir sur le leader reste un moment douloureux. Heureusement, notre compétitivité a été une nouvelle fois excellente ce week-end. Et Rashid Al Dhaheri a réussi à tirer son épingle du jeu dans la catégorie 60 Mini malgré des batailles sévères. »
La démonstration se poursuit
Le constructeur de châssis Parolin Racing Kart peut une nouvelle fois se féliciter de la place de choix qu’il occupe dans la catégorie 60 Mini avec 40 % du plateau de la WSK Euro Series à Lonato. Le succès était également au rendez-vous avec les deux meilleurs temps des chronos, le leadership des manches qualificatives, avec 12 victoires sur 15 et 11 meilleurs tours en course réalisés par 7 pilotes différents. La compétition se poursuivait avec les deux victoires en préfinale et la victoire finale assortie du meilleur tour en course. De plus, Parolin plaçait 5 de ses châssis dans le top 6.
Al Dhaheri brille dans l’adversité
La compétition 60 Mini était plus animée encore que d’ordinaire dès les essais qualificatifs. Auteur du 12e temps, Rashid Al Dhaheri effectuait quatre très belles manches, mais renonçait dans la dernière. 17e au classement intermédiaire, il a réalisé une prouesse en prenant la 2e place de sa préfinale et continuait sur sa lancée en atteignant la 3e position finale. Fort de ce résultat important, Rashid progressait au 2e rang du Championnat.
Très efficace dans les manches, Keanu Al Azahri signait deux meilleurs temps et terminait par une 2e place puis une victoire, ce qui lui valait de reprendre 10 positions par rapport à ses chronos. S’il marquait un peu le pas dans la préfinale A quand sa file démarrait moins bien, Keanu se battait courageusement pour prendre du terrain au 12e rang de la finale. Parmi les trois autres pilotes de l’équipe qualifiés pour la finale, Giovanni Trentin terminait 17e avec un gain de 20 places depuis les essais et Maxens Verbrugge reprenait 35 places en terminant 22e.
Effort non récompensé pour Mini’
Les ambitions justifiées de Gabriele Mini’ en OK se sont envolées en même temps que son ponton dans la préfinale A de la WSK Euro Series. C’est d’autant plus regrettable qu’il était extrêmement compétitif à Lonato. Deux fois 2e et une fois victorieux dans les manches, il avait réalisé deux meilleurs temps. Il était revenu second de la préfinale et se rapprochait du leader quand il a été contraint de stopper. Hugo Sasse effectuait pour sa part un retour prometteur au 8e rang de la finale avec un gain total de 10 places pendant le week-end. Le résultat des jeunes pilotes OK-Junior était moins évocateur, seul Brando Badoer parvenant à se qualifier pour la finale à la suite de trois manches solides.
L’équipe Parolin Racing n’aura guère le temps de souffler avant de retrouver le circuit d’Adria pour la dernière épreuve de la WSK Euro Series du 27 au 30 Juin.
