Ai Campionati del Mondo di Richmond 2015, negli USA in Virginia, Sidi Sport è salita sul podio della gara più importante, la prova maschile elite su strada con il corridore lituano Ramunas Navardauskas. Per Sidi c’è la medaglia di bronzo con Navardauskas terzo al traguardo alle spalle del vincitore, lo slovacco Peter Sagan e dell’australiano Michael Matthews, secondo.
Per Ramunas Navardauskas, già vincitore di tappe al Giro d’Italia e al Tour de France che corre per la formazione Cannondale-Garmin, si tratta del risultato più prestigioso della carriera. Un risultato che lo proietta nella leggenda sportiva del suo Paese. Si tratta infatti della prima medaglia di sempre per la Lituania ai campionati del mondo su strada.
Navardauskas vincitore di una tappa al Giro d’Italia nel 2013 e al Tour de France nel 2014 ha indossato anche per due giorni la maglia rosa al Giro d’Italia 2012 e ora aggiunge al suo palmares anche questa importante medaglia di bronzo mondiale.

RICHMOND 2015: BRONZE FOR RAMUNAS NAVARDAUSKAS AND SIDI SPORT
Sidi celebrates the first Lithuanian medal in the history in the road World Championships.
At the 2015 UCI World Championships in Richmond (Virginia-USA), Sidi Sport made it to the podium in the most important race, the Elite men’s road race, with Lithuanian rider Ramunas Navardauskas. Sidi scored the bronze medal with Navardauskas, who crossed the finish line third right behind the winner, Slovak Peter Sagan and the second placed finisher, Australian Michael Matthews.
Ramunas Navardauskas rides for the Cannondale-Garmin team, and he has already won stages in the Giro d’Italia and at the Tour de France. This is the most prestigious result in his career. It’s a result that will project him into sporting legend in his country. In fact, this is the first medal ever for Lithuania in the road World Championships.
Navardauskas won a stage at the 2014 Tour de France, and one in the 2013 Giro d’Italia; in the 2012 Giro d’Italia he also wore the pink leader’s jersey for two days. Now he can add this important World Championship bronze medal to his portfolio.
