For the first time ever the Val di Fassa Bike-Volvo Cup is opening up to e-bikes.
Bikers equipped with electric bicycles will be able to participate in the event scheduled for Sunday, September 14th, in Moena, riding on the Short route as cycling tourists. A separate classification will be designated especially for them, with prizes for the first ranked men and women. E-bikers will also receive the honor of serving as way openers for the short route in the excursionists’ category.
Other significant innovations include the special prizes at “Moving Mileposts” which will be set up at Soraga, Pozza and Vigo, and the “Mountain Grand Prix” assigned to both the men’s and women’s categories, for the first riders to reach the hamlet of Cune at Alpe di Lusia (2.206 m asl), the highest point in the race course. The two winners of the Mountain Grand Prix will receive a season ski pass for the Trevalli ski area.
There is also a nice race package and important prizes for riders registered in the Val di Fassa Bike Boys, a promotional mountain-bike race open to young categories who are card holders or not, which will take place on Saturday, September 13th at 2:30 p.m. at the “Vischia de Sach” park in Soraga di Fassa for everyone born by the year 1997. The champion Juri Ragnoli will be the guest of honor and serve as a guide for the little athletes in the initial phases of the race.

Registration fee is €5.00 and participants must be signed off by a parent when picking up the race number.
