Mexican Red Bull driver Sergio Pérez and his brother Toño made his young promise, Jesse Carrasquedo, the best birthday present a young driver can hope for.

Practically coinciding with his 15th anniversary, Jesse Carrasquedo received confirmation that he will compete in the Spanish Formula 4 in Adrián Campos’ team.

Until he was 15 years old he could not participate in the FIA Formula 4 championships and until then the Pérez brothers waited to officially kick off Jesse Carrasquedo’s sports career in the FIA championships.

Jesse’s season will kick off this weekend at the Portuguese circuit of Portimao, where the Spanish F4 season kicks off.

He will have four young drivers as teammates, Filip Jenić, Georg Kelstrup, Hugh Barter and Nikola Tsolov, the latter supported by Fernando Alonso.

Toño Pérez, who is closely following Jesse’s sports career, was in Imola with his brother Sergio and then traveled to Spain to accompany Jesse in his real debut in international competitions. This year F4 takes a further step in the safety of the pilots by incorporating the halo of protection in the new Tatuus T-021.

Carrasquedo has been working hard at the Campos Academy to prepare himself in the best way possible to make the jump from karting to single-seaters.

“We are very confident in the performance that Jesse is going to have in the single-seaters. Since he was in karting he said that he wanted to drive in F4, that this was his place. He has carried out several training sessions with very good times and now comes the moment of truth and to start his sports career in single-seaters. He is in the best team to learn and we are sure that he will give the best of himself ”Comments Toño Pérez, who has been following Jesse’s progress directly on site for a long time.
