Con il Sibiu Rally ( Romania) in programma dal 25 al 27 Luglio, il Campionato Europeo Rally entra nella fase decisiva e i membri dell’equipaggio della United Business lo vogliono affrontare da protagonisti.
Nonostante la battuta d’arresto al Rally di Ypres, quando si sono dovuti ritirare mentre erano in lotta per la classifica 2WD, Molly Taylor e Seb Marshall si presentano al via in Romania con determinazione e massima motivazione, ben sapendo che un risultato positivo sarebbe di grande supporto alle loro ambizioni di campionato.
“Spero che a Sibiu la fortuna sia dalla mia parte … sarebbe giunto il momento di concretizzare tutto il lavoro fatto in questi mesi, lo spero sia per me che per il Team – afferma Molly Taylor – l’uscita di strada al rally d’Ypres non ci voleva, la nostra Citroen DS3 R3 non aveva problemi, le gomme erano ok, purtroppo un piccolo errore, in condizione di fondo stradale difficile, lo abbiamo pagato caro, ma questo non sarà di ostacolo alla nostra voglia di disputare in Romania una bella gara. Non conosco assolutamente il Sibiu Rally, ma mi hanno detto che è una gara molto dura sia per la vettura che per l’equipaggio, chiaramente non sapendo nulla delle strade che dovremo affrontare saremo certamente svantaggiati rispetto ai piloti locali o a chi ha già disputato questo rally. Per questa gara la United Business non ha previsto test pre-event , la gara per me è nuova , dovrò impegnarmi al massimo per avere da subito la giusta confidenza con la mia DS3 R3â€.
Il Sibiu Rally avrà inizio con lo shakedown e la prova di qualificazione Giovedì 25, a seguire è prevista la passerella in centro alla città e quindi la cerimonia di partenza. Venerdì e Sabato gli equipaggi dovranno affrontare 14 prove speciali per un totale di 228 km cronometrati.
With the Sibiu Rally (Romania) scheduled from July 25th to 27th, the European Rally Championship enters its decisive phase and the United Business crew wants to shine.
Despite the setback in Ypres Rally, where they had to retire while they were fighting for the 2WD standings, Molly Taylor with Seb Marshall await the start in Romania with utmost determination and motivation, knowing that a positive result would be a great support for their championship ambitions.
“I hope that in Sibiu luck will be on my side … it would be high time to reward all the work done in the last months, I hope so both for me and for the team – said Molly Taylor – we did not need the off in Ypres Rally, our Citroen DS3 R3 had no problems, the tyres were right, unfortunately we paid dearly a small mistake in difficult road conditions, but this will not be an obstacle to our desire to do a good event in Romania. I do not know Sibiu Rally at all, but I am told that it is a very tough race for both car and crew, obviously knowing nothing of the roads which we will drive on we will certainly be at a disadvantage compared to local drivers or to those who have already tackled this rally. For this race United Business has not scheduled pre-event tests, the race is new to me, I will have to commit myself to the utmost to get straightaway the right confidence with my DS3 R3”.
Sibiu Rally will start with the shakedown and the qualifying stage on Thursday 25th, followed by a presentation in the town centre and the ceremonial start. On Friday and Saturday the crews will face 14 stages for a total of 228 timed kms.
