Turisme de Barcelona’s family of mobile apps has grown with the addition of Barcelona MetroWalks, an official guide in Catalan, Spanish and English (available from the Android Play Store) that invites you to explore some of the city’s neighbourhoods in a variety of Barcelona’s different geographical settings with seven organised routes in areas close to but outside the centre of the city.

By combining the Metro, walking and a few bus or tram journeys, visitors can discover the city of Barcelona behind closed doors, its history, its neighbourhoods and its urban development. The idea is for users to feel like residents of Barcelona, completing each route through places that are not often visited by tourists in their own way.

The aim of the Turisme de Barcelona apps is to give official, high-quality information to visitors who wish to explore the city and its main attractions more independently with the help of their smartphones.
