After a year of familiarising himself with single-seaters in the Spanish F4 Championship, young Moroccan hopeful Suleiman Zanfari is preparing for an important season in 2022. He will start with the United Arab Emirates Formula 4 Championship, the first round of which will take place from 20th to 23rd January on the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi.
Won last year by Enzo Trulli, son of former F1 driver Jarno Trulli, this year’s UAE Championship promises to be particularly tough. Indeed, the possibility of acclimatising to the new second generation F4 single-seater at the very beginning of the season attracts a large number of the contenders for the major European championships, together for the only time this year in the same competition. The biggest teams will also be present with the aim of recording as much information as possible about the new car in order to be competitive as soon as possible. In line with the new FIA regulations, the F4 generation 2 offers an increased level of safety with the integration of the halo as in the F3, F2 and of course F1. Performance has also been improved to bring it closer to the higher categories. 37 international drivers are expected in Dubai in mid-January.
Suleiman Zanfari has prepared himself during the off-season to carry the colours of Morocco as high as possible in this top-level competition. He will rely on the Dutch team MP Motorsport, which is renowned in the field for its professionalism and its ability to train young drivers. Talented and ambitious, Suleiman, 16, will be competing in his second season in a single-seater with a more complete programme than in 2021, a year disrupted on the sporting front by the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. He is looking forward to racing against the top seeds of the F4 championships in Italy, Germany, Great Britain and Spain.
A very well attended Championship this year due to the high stakes involved, the UAE F4 Championship will run at a fast pace over five events from 20th January to 20th February at the Dubai and Abu Dhabi circuits. At this favourable time of year, for a month all eyes will be on the future motorsport champions of tomorrow.

Suleiman Zanfari s’engage en F4 UAE cette année
Après une année pour se familiariser avec la monoplace dans le championnat d’Espagne F4, le jeune espoir marocain Suleiman Zanfari s’apprête à disputer une saison importante en 2022. Il va d’abord commencer par le Championnat des Émirats arabes unis de Formule 4 dont la première épreuve aura lieu du 20 au 23 janvier sur le circuit de Yas Marina à Abu Dhabi.
Remporté l’an dernier par Enzo Trulli, fils de l’ancien pilote de F1 Jarno Trulli, le Championnat des Émirats arabes unis s’annonce particulièrement relevé cette année. En effet la possibilité de découvrir en tout début de saison la nouvelle monoplace F4 de 2e génération attire une grande partie des protagonistes des championnats européens majeurs, regroupés pour la seule fois de l’année dans une même compétition. Les plus grandes équipes seront également présentes avec l’objectif d’enregistrer un maximum d’informations sur la nouvelle voiture afin d’être compétitifs le plus rapidement possible. En accord avec la nouvelle réglementation FIA, la F4 génération 2 offre un niveau de sécurité accru avec l’intégration du halo comme les F3, F2 et bien sûr F1. Les performances ont également progressé pour se rapprocher des catégories supérieures. 37 pilotes internationaux sont attendus à Dubaï à la mi-janvier.
Suleiman Zanfari s’est préparé pendant l’intersaison à porter le plus haut possible les couleurs du Maroc dans cette compétition de haute volée. Il fera pour cela confiance à l’équipe néerlandaise MP Motorsport très renommée dans le milieu pour son professionnalisme et sa capacité à former les jeunes pilotes. Talentueux et ambitieux, Suleiman disputera à 16 ans sa 2e saison en monoplace avec un programme plus complet qu’en 2021, année perturbée sur le plan sportif par les conséquences de la pandémie du Covid-19. Il se réjouit à l’avance d’affronter en piste les têtes de série des championnats de F4 d’Italie, Allemagne, Grande-Bretagne et Espagne.
Championnat très suivi cette année en raison des multiples enjeux qui l’accompagnent, le Championnat des Émirats arabes unis de F4 se déroulera à un rythme soutenu sur 5 épreuves du 20 janvier au 20 février sur les circuits de Dubaï et d’Abu Dhabi. À cette période favorable de l’année, tous les regards des spécialistes seront braqués pendant un mois sur les futurs champions du sport automobile de demain.
