Sidi Sport festeggia la maglia gialla di Chris Froome. Per il britannico del Team Sky si tratta della terza vittoria alla Grande Boucle, la seconda consecutiva (2013, 2015 e 2016).
Per farlo lo staff Sidi è volato direttamente a Parigi ad applaudire il suo campione nella passerella finale sugli Champs Elysees. Grazie a questo successo Dino Signori, fondatore e tutt’ora alla guida di Sidi Sport, può mettere con soddisfazione e orgoglio nel suo palmares la vittoria numero 13 al Tour de France nella gloriosa storia Sidi.
Non poteva esserci battesimo migliore per Sidi SHOT, la nuova calzatura da ciclismo della collezione Sidi che ha fatto il suo debutto ufficiale ai piedi di Froome al Criterium du Dauphine, vinto tra l’altro dal britannico, per poi affiancarlo anche nella sua cavalcata trionfale al Tour de France. Sidi Shot che al Tour per l’occasione si è tinta di giallo per accompagnarsi nel migliore dei modi alla maglia di leader del suo campione.
Il Tour ha il suo padrone, Chris Froome è stato eccezionale in salita, formidabile in discesa, una locomotiva nelle prove contro il tempo, più forte anche della sfortuna e delle cadute, insomma si è confermato il numero uno su ogni terreno e in ogni situazione. Froome ha dimostrato di meritare al 100% questa maglia gialla tanto sognata, desiderata, inseguita, indossata, sudata, tenuta, in certi momenti anche sofferta e ora finalmente festeggiata.
Per Sidi il Tour de France 2016 regala un carico straordinario di emozioni. Sul podio di Parigi infatti sia il primo che il secondo della classifica finale hanno ai loro piedi le calzature Sidi. Primo Chris Froome e secondo il giovane talento francese Romain Bardet, che sabato sul traguardo di Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc ha regalato alla Francia la prima e unica vittoiria di questo Tour.
C’è tanto di Sidi in questa classifica finale. 5 dei primi 7 corridori classificati appartengono infatti alle fila dei campioni Sidi: 1° Chris Froome (Team Sky), 2° Romain Bardet (Ag2r La Mondiale), 4° Adam Yates (ORICA-BikeExchange), 5° Richie Porte (BMC Racing) e 7° Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha).
4 le vittorie di tappa firmate Sidi, tutte belle ed emozionanti due di Chris Froome, la prima a Bagneres-De-Luchon dove ha conquistato la maglia gialla e gettato le basi per questo successo e poi la seconda nella crono di Megeve. Poi c’è la vittoria del russo Ilnur Zakarin (Katusha) nella tappa 17 a Finhaut-Emosson e quella già citata di Romain Bardet nella tappa 19.
Inoltre con l’altro britannico Adam Yates Sidi ha conquistato anche la maglia bianca del miglior giovane della classifica. Insomma il presente e il futuro del Tour de France e del ciclismo mondiale appartengono a Sidi Sport.

Sidi Sport is celebrating Chris Froome and his yellow jersey. This is the Brit’s third victory at the Grande Boucle, and his second consecutive win (2013, 2015 and 2016). The Sidi staff flew directly to Paris to cheer their champion in the final showcase on the Champs Elysees. Thanks to this success, Dino Signori, founder and still head of Sidi Sport, can happily and proudly add victory number 13 at the Tour de France to the portfolio of Sidi’s great history.
There could have been no better baptism for the new Sidi SHOT, the cycling shoe from the Sidi collection that made its official debut on Froome’s feet at the Criterium du Dauphine, which he won as well. These new shoes also accompanied Froome in his triumphant ride here at the Tour de France. To celebrate the Tour, the Sidi Shot was tinted in yellow to better match Chris Froome’s leader jersey.
The Tour has proclaimed its master: Chris Froome was exceptional on the climbs, formidable in the descents, a locomotive in the time trials, stronger than bad luck and falls… long story short, he confirmed himself as number one on every type of terrain and in every situation. Froome proved 100% worthy of this much coveted yellow jersey, the jersey he dreamt about, desired, pursued, wore, sweat in, held on to, in certain moments even suffered for and now is finally celebrating.
The 2016 Tour de France brought Sidi an extraordinary load of excitement. In fact, on the podium in Paris both the first and second riders in the final classification were wearing Sidi shoes. First Chris Froome and second the young French talent Romain Bardet, who delivered France their first and only victory in this Tour on Saturday at the finish line in Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc.
There’s plenty of Sidi in this final classification. 5 of the first 7 classified riders in fact belong to the ranks of Sidi champions: 1st Chris Froome (Team Sky), 2nd Romain Bardet (Ag2r La Mondiale), 4th Adam Yates (ORICA-BikeExchange), 5th Richie Porte (BMC Racing) and 7th Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha).
4 stage victories were scored by Sidi, all thrilling and fantastic: two by Chris Froome, the first in Bagneres-De-Luchon where he captured the yellow jersey and laid the foundation for this success, and then the second one in the time trial at Megeve. Then Russian Ilnur Zakarin (Katusha) scored victory in stage 17 at Finhaut-Emosson and we already mentioned Romain Bardet winning stage 19.
Furthermore, with British Adam Yates Sidi also captured the white jersey for best young rider in the classification. All in all, the present and the future of the Tour de France belong to Sidi Sport.
