WSK Open Cup title after perfect performance in Final
After his successes and podiums in FIA Karting and in Champions of the Future, Tomass Stolcermanis led his Energy Corse-TM Racing team to 1st place in a WSK Promotion series organised over a single meeting in Lonato. In the difficult OK category, the young Latvian driver led the Final from the first to the last lap, to add his name to the list of winners of the latest WSK Open Cup. The Juniors from the Energy Corse team also reached an excellent level of performance. For his debut with the Italian team, Jimmy Helias already had the opportunity to win a heat and finish the Final in the top 10.
The Energy Corse team continues to attract young drivers looking to progress to the highest level and aim for the best results in FIA Karting events, as well as in the major international series. After the brilliant performances at the World Championship in Sarno, the team led by Michele Panigada fielded a strong line-up in the Mini, OK-Junior and OK categories. The team remains available for drivers who wish to prepare for their next season, during tests or at the WSK Final Cup series which will be spread over two meetings in November, in Sarno and then in Lonato.
Stolcermanis on top of the podium
Tomass Stolcermanis started the 2022 season with a win in the Champions of the Future Winter Series, but showed that he is not going to slow down at the end of the season. In the leading group from Qualifying in OK, Tomass prepared his equipment perfectly with the Energy Corse staff during the Qualifying Heats, to arrive ready for the Final phase. He started by moving up to 3rd in the Prefinal, before taking the lead in the Final on the first lap. He quickly increased his lead to almost two seconds, before ensuring a magnificent victory until the end. Congratulations to the technical team led by Luigina Guerrini and Simone Sorio, and to the engine tuner GFR (TM Racing).
Helias joins Energy Corse
In OK-Junior, the Canadian Jensen Burnett, the Finn Alexandre Dahlstrom, the Swiss Kian Fardin, the Hungarian Martin Molnar and the Belgian Dries Van Langendonck were back with their team two weeks after the World Championship. At South Garda Karting, they were joined by Frenchman Jimmy Helias. This was a reunion of sorts, as Jimmy had finished 6th in the IAME International Final at Le Mans in a Mini in 2017 on an Energy chassis! There were four Energy Corse karts in the Final, but not all were equally successful. Particularly brilliant in the heats (P5, P3, P1, P2 and P6), Helias confirmed his success by finishing 10th in his first OK-Junior race with Energy Corse.
87 drivers were on the grid in 60 Mini, including several in the Energy Corse team colours: the American Kai Johnson, the Lithuanian Ainis Virbiantis (three times in the top five in the heats), the Dutchman Luuka Taal, the Swede Jonathan Landstorm and the Swiss driver Zasov Georgiy.
Titolo WSK Open Cup dopo una prestazione perfetta in finale
Dopo i successi e i podi ottenuti nel FIA Karting e nella Champions of the Future, Tomass Stolcermanis ha portato il suo kart Energy Corse-TM Racing al primo posto nell’unico appuntamento della serie WSK Promotion a Lonato. Nella difficile categoria OK, il giovane pilota lettone ha condotto la finale dal primo all’ultimo giro per aggiungere il suo nome nel palmares dei vincitori di questa nuova edizione della WSK Open Cup. Anche i giovani della squadra Energy Corse hanno raggiunto un ottimo livello di prestazioni. Al suo debutto con la squadra italiana, Jimmy Helias ha già avuto l’opportunità di vincere una manche e di concludere la finale tra i primi dieci.
Il team Energy Corse continua ad attrarre giovani piloti che vogliono progredire ai massimi livelli e puntare ai migliori risultati negli eventi FIA Karting, così come nelle principali serie internazionali. Dopo le brillanti prestazioni al Campionato del mondo di Sarno, la squadra guidata da Michele Panigada ha schierato una forte formazione nelle categorie Mini, OK-Junior e OK. Il team rimane a disposizione dei piloti che desiderano preparare la prossima stagione, durante i test o in occasione della serie WSK Final Cup che si articolerà su due incontri a novembre, a Sarno e poi a Lonato.
Stolcermanis sul gradino più alto del podio
Tomass Stolcermanis ha iniziato la stagione 2022 con una vittoria nella Champions of the Future Winter Series, ma ha dimostrato di non avere intenzione di rallentare alla fine della stagione. Nel gruppo di testa dalle prove cronometrate nella OK, Tomass ha preparato perfettamente il suo kart con lo staff di Energy Corse durante le manche di qualificazione, per arrivare pronto alla fase finale. Ha iniziato rimontando in terza posizione nella prefinale, per poi prendere il comando della finale sin dal primo giro. Ha rapidamente aumentato il suo vantaggio a quasi due secondi, per poi assicurarsi una magnifica vittoria. Complimenti al team tecnico guidato da Luigina Guerrini e Simone Sorio e al costruttore di motori GFR (TM Racing).
Helias ritrova Energy Corse
Nella OK-Junior, il canadese Jensen Burnett, il finlandese Alexandre Dahlstrom, lo svizzero Kian Fardin, l’ungherese Martin Molnar e il belga Dries Van Langendonck hanno ritrovato la loro squadra due settimane dopo il Campionato del mondo. Sul South Garda Karting, sono stati raggiunti dal francese Jimmy Helias. Si tratta di una sorta di riunione, dato che Jimmy si è classificato sesto nella finale internazionale IAME a Le Mans nella Mini nel 2017 gareggiando con un telaio Energy! Alla fine, in finale c’erano quattro kart Energy Corse, ma non tutti hanno avuto lo stesso successo. Particolarmente brillante nelle manche (P5, P3, P1, P2 e P6), Helias lo ha confermato classificandosi decimo nella sua prima gara OK-Junior con Energy Corse.

Pour ses débuts avec le team italien, Jimmy Helias a déjà eu l’occasion de gagner une manche et de terminer la finale dans le top-10.
Le team Energy Corse continue de séduire les jeunes pilotes cherchant à évoluer au plus niveau et à viser les meilleurs résultats dans les épreuves FIA Karting, ainsi que dans les grandes séries internationales. Après les brillantes prestations réalisées au Championnat du Monde à Sarno, la formation dirigée par Michele Panigada présentait un important effectif dans les catégories Mini, OK-Junior et OK. L’équipe reste à la disposition des pilotes qui souhaitent préparer leur prochaine saison, lors de tests ou à l’occasion de la série WSK Final Cup qui s’étalera sur deux meetings en novembre, à Sarno puis à Lonato.

S’il a débuté l’année 2022 par une victoire en Champions of the Future Winter Series, Tomass Stolcermanis a montré qu’il n’était pas décidé à baisser de rythme en cette fin de saison. Dans le groupe de tête dès les essais chronométrés en OK, Tomass a parfaitement préparé son matériel avec le staff d’Energy Corse lors des manches de qualifications, pour arriver fin prêt pour la phase finale. Il commençait à revenir 3e en préfinale, avant de prendre les commandes de la finale dès le premier tour. Il portait rapidement son avance à près de deux secondes, avant d’assurer jusqu’au bout une magnifique victoire. Bravo à l’équipe technique emmenée par Luigina Guerrini et Simone Sorio, ainsi qu’au motoriste GFR (TM Racing).
Helias retrouve Energy Corse
