Lausanne/Künzelsau – Würth MODYF, a leading brand that specializes in workwear, safety shoes and corporate wear becomes title sponsor of the ISMF World Cup Series 2021/2022 and the ISMF European Championships 2022.

The brand, internationally renowned as one of the most efficient and prestigious in its sector will benefit from the new marketing possibilities within the ISMF and the digital-first approach of its media partner Eurovision Sport.

Würth MODYF will therefore not only enjoy exclusive advertising at the WÜRTH MODYF ISMF World Cup and the WÜRTH MODYF ISMF European Championships 2022, but will also be integrated in the newly developed ISMF TV platform (tv.ismf-ski.org) where selected events are live-streamed and near-live content and background stories are available on-demand.

“Sports has many players. Some are in the middle, some are behind the scenes. Our heroes are not only the athletes that train hard to achieve the best results, but also all the people that work in the background to make these sports event happen: our heroes in the background. And we are glad to give them the best equipment to prepare the best conditions for the athletes” says Sarah Stievano, Head of International Marketing at Würth MODYF.

Therefore, the ISMF heroes in the background, the ISMF Implementation crew and the ISMF TV crew will be equipped with new Würth MODYF uniforms and workwear, using cutting-edge materials in its manufacturing process.

The fast-growing sport of ski mountaineering (‘skimo’ for short), with Europe as its heartland, comprises men’s and women’s team and individual disciplines, plus a mixed relay event, involving racing over a series of ascents and descents, either carrying or wearing skis, towards a downhill finish.

Ski mountaineering made its debut as a medal sport at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne in 2020, and was accepted by the IOC as a new Winter Olympic sport, debuting at the Milan-Cortina games in 2026, during the IOC Session in Tokyo in July last year.

ISMF President Regula Meier is very pleased about the partnership: “Innovation and Excellence are two important values of the ISMF and we see that the partnership with Würth MODYF underlines these values and helps us to bring our athletes, teams and staff one more step forward towards our Olympic debut in 2026.”
