April is traditionally one of the months when the French language can most be heard on the streets of Barcelona.
This is because during this month the French top the list of international visitors to the city. The second biggest foreign market in April is the UK, followed by the USA.
According to 2015 data for tourists staying at hotels, the French also topped the list of foreign visitors to Barcelona in January, February, August and December.
Visitors from the UK take over as the largest group in the months of March and November, whilst US tourists (who led the overall ranking for 2015) headed the list in May, June, July, September and October.
