What are your predictions for the sprint events (Ladies’ Team Sprint & Men’s Team Sprint )?
I think the two races will be very nice, for both athletes and spectators.
It will be tough to compete with the Norway teams. They are the big favorites for both races.
Do you think there will be any surprises? Which country could be an outsider?
I think the French team has good chances for the men’s team sprint. The Russian team can perform very well too. Men and women were very good in the skating competition. For the ladies’ competition, I think the American have really good chances.
Norwegian athletes show absolute dominance in cross-country skiing competitions. How can we explain this?
For me, the dominance of the Norwegian athletes is a really big surprise. They were really good in the skating competitions, but not the best in the classic style competitions here in PyeongChang. It’s quite a surprise because, normally they dominate all the competitions. They are really the best at the moment and I think they worked a lot, especially for the skating.
According to you, do the team events have a particular flavour?
Yes, racing as a team is a great experience. But it’s hard too, because it’s a big responsibility!
It’s really nice to race as one team, as one nation. It’s a great team work!
