After the ISMF World Cup legs in Pontedilegno-Tonale (ITA) and Verbier (SUI), the international skimo athletes will compete in France and precisely on the slopes of Flaine, Arâches-la-Frasse.

The Individual race will be held on Friday 5 February 2021, with four ascents and as many descents for a positive altitude difference of 1600 metres. The track conditions are excellent, even if the snowfalls of the last few days have forced the local organising committee to work overtime to make the race courses more accessible.

On Saturday 6 February 2021, the ski mountaineering competitors expert in the Sprint race will get on track with an explosive mix of speed and technique.

14 national federations for a total of 135 registered athletes will be present in Flaine as follows: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and USA.

In preparation of the World Cup in Flaine, the Race Director Olivier Mansiot declares: “In my opinion the competitions of the upcoming weekend will reach a great success. My colleagues and I have did our best to prepare the race tracks. I am pleased for the solid relationship created with the ISMF after many years of collaboration to organise World Cup stages”.
