Matheus Morgatto, Cristian Bertuca e Tymoteusz Kucharczyk sono stati tra i principali protagonisti della categoria OK nella serie Champions of the Future, che si è conclusa sul circuito di Campillos. Il circuito di Campillos si sta preparando a ospitare il Campionato del mondo FIA Karting, per il quale il team Birel ART Racing nutre grandi speranze. Nel sud della Spagna, l’Armata Rossa ha anche preparato il futuro sostenendo diversi giovani piloti della categoria OK-Junior nella loro progressione.
A Campillos, il team Birel ART Racing ha raggiunto il suo primo obiettivo, raccogliendo molti dati tecnici in vista dell’attesissimo Campionato del mondo organizzato nelle categorie OK e OK-Junior il 29, 30 e 31 ottobre 2021. I piloti hanno potuto scoprire con interesse il tracciato spagnolo, utilizzato per la prima volta in occasione di un grande evento internazionale. Il terzo e ultimo evento della serie Champions of the Future non è stato quindi affatto privo di interesse! Il risultato finale e la performance complessiva della squadra italiana hanno mostrato ancora una volta tutto il potenziale del marchio Birel ART.
Birel ART onnipresente nella Top-10 della OK
Vincitore della quarta edizione della Richard Mille Young Talent Academy, il polacco Tymoteusz Kucharczyk è arrivato a Campillos pieno di fiducia ed è stato nelle prime posizioni durante le qualifiche: quarto nelle prove cronometrate e terzo al termine delle manche. Anche i suoi due compagni di squadra Matheus Morgatto e Cristian Bertuca hanno tratto profitto da questa prima parte del meeting per rimontare posizioni in classifica. Questo straordinario trio ha continuato a impegnarsi in prefinale e finale, supportato dalla competitività dei telai Birel ART e RK, e dai motori TM Racing dei preparatori del team.
Già brillante in prefinale, il brasiliano Morgatto è riuscito a rimontare al quinto posto in finale dopo una performance estremamente costante. La sua regolarità nel corso dei tre meeting gli ha regalato un quinto posto come nella classifica finale della Champions of the Future. Sempre eccellente nei finali e capace di girare con tempi straordinari, l’italiano Bertuca è riuscito a entrare nella Top-10 tagliando il traguardo in nona posizione nella scia di un altro telaio Birel ART, quello di Martinius Stenshorne (Charles Leclerc by Lennox Racing team). Un po’ deluso per non aver trovato le stesse prestazioni di sabato con il suo nuovo treno di pneumatici, il polacco Kucharczyk non ha mai mollato e ha piazzato un quarto telaio prodotto dalla fabbrica Birel ART nella Top-10. Tymoteusz si classifica così al settimo posto della serie. La squadra di Lissone ha dimostrato la sua competitività a Campillos, il che fa chiaramente ben sperare per il Campionato del mondo.
Giovani che imparano
Se la costante ricerca della vittoria rimane nel DNA di Birel ART, la squadra ufficiale mira anche a garantire la formazione dei giovani piloti. Questo è stato il caso di Campillos con molti parametri positivi da ricordare in vista delle prossime giornate. Nella OK, il polacco Maksymillian Angelard e la britannica Ella Stevens hanno ulteriormente aumentato la loro esperienza, facendo delle grandi rimonte nella gara di ripescaggio.
Nella OK-Junior, Birel ART ha schierato quattro piloti: l’irlandese Fionn McLaughlin, il finlandese Kimi Tani e due spagnoli, Aaron Garcia Lopez e Joan Aluja Olesti. Tutti si sono impegnati molto per fare progressi durante il meeting. McLaughlin ha avuto la soddisfazione di qualificarsi per la finale, dove è rimontato al 25° posto.
Convincing performances before the World Championship
Matheus Morgatto, Cristian Bertuca and Tymoteusz Kucharczyk were among the main protagonists of the OK category during the Champions of the Future series, which came to an end at the Campillos circuit. This circuit is about to host the FIA Karting World Championship, for which the Birel ART Racing team has high hopes. In the south of Spain, the Red Army has also prepared for the future with several young drivers in the OK-Junior category making progress.
In Campillos, the Birel ART Racing team fulfilled its first objective, collecting extensive technical data in preparation for the highly anticipated World Championship organised for the OK and OK-Junior categories on 29th, 30th and 31st October 2021. The drivers were able to discover the Spanish track with interest, which will be used for the first time in a major international event. The third and final round of the Champions of the Future series was therefore full of interest! The final result and the overall performance of the Italian team once again showed the full potential of the Birel ART brand.
Birel ART omnipresent in the top 10 in OK
Winner of the fourth edition of the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy, the Polish driver Tymoteusz Kucharczyk arrived in Campillos with full confidence and he was at the forefront during the Qualifying session: 4th in Timed Qualifying and 3rd in the heats. His two team-mates Matheus Morgatto and Cristian Bertuca also took advantage of the first part of the meeting to move up in the hierarchy. The trio continued their efforts in the Prefinal and the Final, supported by the competitiveness of the Birel ART and RK chassis, as well as the TM Racing engines from the team’s engine tuners.
Already brilliant in the Prefinal, the Brazilian Morgatto ended up in 5th position in the Final after an extremely solid performance. His consistency over the three meetings gave him a similar 5th place in the final Champions of the Future ranking. Always an excellent finisher and capable of setting excellent times, the Italian Bertuca managed to get into the top 10 by crossing the finish line in 9th position in the wake of another Birel ART chassis, driven by Martinius Stenshorne (Charles Leclerc by Lennox Racing team). A little disappointed not to have found the same performance as on Saturday with his new set of tyres, Poland’s Kucharczyk never gave up and placed a fourth chassis made by the Birel ART factory in the top 10. Tymoteusz finished 7th in the series. The team from Lissone demonstrated its competitiveness in Campillos, which clearly holds out great hopes for the World Championship.
Youngsters in the process of learning
Although the constant quest for victory remains in the DNA of Birel ART, the official team also aims to ensure the training of young drivers. This was the case in Campillos with many positive parameters to remember for the days to come. In OK, Poland’s Maksymillian Angelard and Britain’s Ella Stevens further increased their experience, while making remarkable comebacks in the Repechage.
In OK-Junior, Birel ART fielded four drivers: Irishman Fionn McLaughlin, Finland’s Kimi Tani and two Spaniards, Aaron Garcia Lopez and Joan Aluja Olesti. All of them put a lot of effort into their work in order to progress throughout the meeting. McLaughlin had the satisfaction of qualifying for the Final, where he climbed to 25th position.

Performances convaincantes avant le Championnat du Monde
Matheus Morgatto, Cristian Bertuca et Tymoteusz Kucharczyk ont fait partie des principaux protagonistes de la catégorie OK lors de la série Champions of the Future, qui vivait son épilogue sur le circuit de Campillos. Celui-ci s’apprête à accueillir le Championnat du Monde FIA Karting, lors duquel le team Birel ART Racing fonde de grands espoirs. Dans le sud de l’Espagne, l’armée rouge a également préparé l’avenir en accompagnant plusieurs jeunes pilotes de la catégorie OK-Junior dans leur progression.
A Campillos, le team Birel ART Racing a rempli son premier objectif, en collectant de nombreuses données techniques en vue du très attendu Championnat du Monde organisé dans les catégories OK et OK-Junior les 29, 30 et 31 octobre 2021. Les pilotes ont pu découvrir avec intérêt le tracé espagnol, qui était utilisé pour la première fois dans le cadre d’une grande épreuve internationale. La troisième et dernière épreuve de la série Champions of the Future n’était donc nullement dénuée d’intérêt ! Le résultat final et la performance d’ensemble du team italien a encore montré tout le potentiel de la marque Birel ART.

Vainqueur de la 4e édition de la Richard Mille Young Talent Academy, le Polonais Tymoteusz Kucharczyk est arrivé à Campillos en pleine confiance et il s’est hissé d’entrée aux avant-postes durant les qualifications : 4e aux chronos et 3e à l’issue des manches. Ses deux équipiers Matheus Morgatto et Cristian Bertuca mettaient également à profit cette première partie du meeting pour remonter dans la hiérarchie. Ce trio de choc poursuivait ses efforts en préfinale et en finale, portés par la compétitivité des châssis Birel ART et RK, ainsi que par les moteurs TM Racing des motoristes du team.
Déjà brillant en préfinale, le Brésilien Morgatto finissait par revenir en 5e position de la finale après une prestation extrêmement solide. Sa régularité sur l’ensemble des trois meetings lui offre une 5e place similaire au classement final de la Champions of the Future. Toujours excellent finisseur et capable de rouler dans d’excellents temps, l’Italien Bertuca a réussi à rentrer dans le top-10 en coupant la ligne d’arrivée en 9e position dans le sillage d’un autre châssis Birel ART, celui de Martinius Stenshorne (team Charles Leclerc by Lennox Racing). Un peu déçu de n’avoir pas retrouvé les mêmes performances du samedi avec son nouveau train de pneumatiques, le Polonais Kucharczyk n’a jamais baissé les bras et plaçait un quatrième châssis produit par l’usine Birel ART dans le top-10. Tymoteusz se classe ainsi 7e de la série. Le team de Lissone a démontré sa compétitivité à Campillos, ce qui est clairement porteur de grands espoirs pour le Championnat du Monde.
Des jeunes en plein apprentissage
Si la recherche constante de la victoire reste dans l’ADN de Birel ART, le team officiel a également comme objectif d’assurer la formation des jeunes pilotes. Ce fut le cas à Campillos avec de nombreux paramètres positifs à retenir en vue des jours à venir. En OK, le Polonais Maksymillian Angelard et la Britannique Ella Stevens ont encore accru leur expérience, tout en réalisant des remontées remarquées à l’occasion de la course de repêchage.
En OK-Junior, Birel ART alignait quatre pilotes : l’Irlandais Fionn McLaughlin, le Finlandais Kimi Tani et deux Espagnols, Aaron Garcia Lopez ainsi que Joan Aluja Olesti. Tous se sont beaucoup investis afin de progresser au fil du meeting. McLaughlin a eu la satisfaction de se qualifier pour la finale, où il est remonté en 25e position.
