Parolin Racing Kart’s efforts extend to every category in Karting.
Noted for several seasons by its dominance among the youngest drivers, Parolin also benefits from its success in Junior and OK to increase its presence throughout the market. In Finland, at the FIA Karting World Championship – OK and Junior, the Italian brand was the third largest chassis manufacturer with 16 drivers entered in its colours. Meanwhile, the performance was there with Racing Team drivers Gabriele Mini’ in OK and James Wharton in Junior.
“It was not the best feeling to come back from Finland without a podium in at least one of the two categories. The potential we have shown in Finland does not reflect what we have achieved in terms of results. Wharton drove a perfect weekend despite an arm injury suffered on Thursday, and after winning the pre-race two weeks ago he was ready to fight for the title. To James’ credit, after just three races with the team he was immediately on the pace and one of the main contenders for the World Championship – only bad luck denied him the opportunity to battle with Ten Brinke and Camara. In OK, after a sensational pole position for Mini’, both he and Sasse scored some very good heat results, including several top three finishes, but we suffered slightly in the rain. However, we are pleased with the performances of our OKJ and OK packages and our partnership with TM is leading to improvements at every event. We are just looking forward to the next competition to try to fight for victory again.”
A fast track known for its difficulty and selectivity, the Alahärmä Power Park circuit saw very variable grip situations, going through all possible conditions between completely dry and very wet. Whatever the conditions, the Parolin chassis enabled their drivers to best show off their talent.
Missed opportunity in OK for Mini’
The results of his first season in OK made Gabriele Mini’ one of the great favourites of the 2019 World Championship following his 2nd place in the European Championship. On the very challenging circuit of Alahärmä, he opened the battle by taking pole position among the 88 best drivers in the world. Unfortunately, destiny hit from the start of his first run. He lost control of his kart after being pushed onto a kerb and had to retire. The young Italian hopeful gave his maximum to return to 16th in the heats and regained another eight places in the Final to finish in 8th place. He remained the holder of the absolute fastest time of the meeting until the end.
Hugo Sasse had four good heats with a 2nd place and two 3rd places, but he was also delayed in the heaviest of the rain. At the edge of the top 10 on the Final starting grid, he was long in 10th position before falling back in the fight and finishing 19th.
Junior: Wharton on the right track
More and more successful at the wheel of his Parolin / TM Racing kart, the Australian James Wharton began with posting the 9th fastest time among the 104 participants of the Junior World Championship. He then asserted his claim by climbing to 4th place at the end of the Qualifying heats in which he never left the top three. He made an excellent start to the Final close behind the leader, on whom he was preparing his attack. Unfortunately, his engine betrayed him on the fifth lap of the race.
Brando Badoer and Lukas Malek were off the mark after a tough Qualifying. In a bubbling pack, they were unable to join the list of 34 finalists.
That same weekend, Rashid Al Dhaheri achieved his qualification for the 2019 Rok Super Final by winning the Rok Cup Italy at the Adria Karting Raceway with his Parolin chassis.
The karting season is far from over, but Parolin is already sharpening its strategy for next year to highlight the unanimously recognised quality of its chassis in multiple categories.
Parolin: confermata l’ottima progressione internazionale in occasione del Campionato del mondo
L’ascesa di Parolin Racing Kart si estende a tutte le categorie del karting. Conosciuto da molte stagioni per il suo predominio tra i giovani piloti, Parolin approfitta anche dei suoi successi nella Junior e nella OK per aumentare la sua presenza su tutto il mercato. In Finlandia, in occasione del Campionato del mondo FIA Karting – OK e Junior, il marchio italiano occupava il terzo posto tra i fabbricanti di telai, con sedici piloti in gara. Anche le performance non sono mancate con i piloti del Racing Team Gabriele Minì nella OK e James Wharton nella Junior.
“È chiaro che siamo delusi di essere tornati da Alahärmä senza un podio”, ha confidato Marco Parolin. “Il potenziale che abbiamo mostrato in Finlandia non si è concretizzato in termini di risultati. Wharton ha fatto un week-end perfetto nonostante una ferita al braccio subita giovedì. Era pronto a battersi per il titolo dopo aver vinto la gara preparatoria due settimane prima. Bisogna sottolineare che era solo la sua terza gara con la nostra squadra. Ha trovato subito il buon ritmo e sembrava uno dei principali pretendenti al titolo di Campione del mondo. La sfortuna però gli ha tolto la possibilità di battersi con Ten Brinke e Camara. Nella OK, dopo una pole position sensazionale di Minì, Wharton e Sasse hanno fatto alternativamente delle ottime manche, di cui molte nella Top-3, ma abbiamo sofferto un po’ sul bagnato. Tuttavia, possiamo ritenerci molto soddisfatti delle nostre performance nella OKJ e nella OK e la nostra partnership con TM Racing porta a sempre maggiori miglioramenti gara dopo gara. Attendiamo con impazienza di tornare in occasione della prossima gara e di provare a batterci per la vittoria.”
Circuito molto veloce noto per la sua difficoltà e la sua selettività, il circuito Power Park di Alahärmä ha conosciuto situazioni di grip molto variabili passando attraverso tutte le condizioni possibili, dall’asciutto al completamente bagnato. Qualunque siano le condizioni, i telai Parolin hanno consentito ai loro piloti di esprimere al meglio il loro talento.
Occasione mancata nella OK per Minì
I risultati della sua prima stagione nella OK – secondo nel Campionato europeo – hanno fatto di Gabriele Minì uno dei grandi favoriti del Campionato del mondo 2019. Sul selettivo circuito di Alahärmä, ha aperto le danze conquistando la pole position tra gli 88 migliori piloti al mondo. Purtroppo, il fato ha cambiato le carte in tavola già dalla prima manche. Ha perso il controllo del suo kart a causa di un balzo su un cordolo e ha dovuto ritirarsi. La giovane speranza italiana ha dato il massimo per rimontare al sedicesimo posto nelle manche guadagnando ancora otto posizioni in finale per poi concludere all’ottavo posto. È rimasto fino alla fine il detentore del miglior tempo assoluto di tutto il meeting.
Hugo Sasse invece ha disputato quattro belle manche con un secondo e due terzi posti, ma è stato anche rallentato dalla pioggia. Appena fuori dalla Top-10 sulla griglia di partenza finale, ha occupato a lungo la decima posizione per poi perdere posizioni nella bagarre e terminare al 19°.
Junior: Wharton era sulla buona strada
Sempre più performante al volante del suo Parolin/TM Racing, l’australiano James Wharton ha iniziato realizzando il nono tempo tra i 104 partecipanti del Campionato del mondo Junior. Ha poi dimostrato il suo potenziale portandosi al quarto posto al termine delle manche di qualificazione durante le quali è sempre stato nella Top-3. Ha realizzato un eccellente inizio di finale mettendosi alle costole del leader sul quale preparava il suo attacco. Purtroppo, il mezzo l’ha tradito al quinto giro della gara.

Nello stesso week-end Rashid Al Dhaheri ha ottenuto la sua qualifica per la Super Final Rok 2019 vincendo la Rok Cup Italia sull’Adria Karting Raceway con il suo telaio Parolin.
La stagione sportiva non è ancora giunta al termine, ma Parolin comincia già ad affinare la sua strategia per l’anno prossimo per valorizzare la qualità unanimemente riconosciuta dei suoi telai in varie categorie.
Parolin : Forte progression internationale confirmée lors du Championnat du Monde
La poussée de Parolin Racing Kart s’étend à toutes les catégories du Karting. Remarquée depuis plusieurs saisons par sa domination chez les très jeunes pilotes, Parolin profite également de ses succès en Junior et en OK pour accroître sa présence sur l’ensemble du marché. En Finlande, lors du Championnat du Monde FIA Karting – OK et Junior, la marque italienne occupait le troisième rang des constructeurs de châssis avec 16 pilotes engagés sous ses couleurs en Finlande. Parallèlement, les performances étaient au rendez-vous avec les pilotes du Racing Team Gabriele Mini’ en OK et James Wharton en Junior.
« Nous sommes bien entendu déçus d’être revenus d’Alahärmä sans un seul podium », confiait Marco Parolin. « Le potentiel que nous avons montré en Finlande ne s’est pas concrétisé en termes de résultats. Wharton a mené un week-end parfait malgré une blessure au bras subie jeudi. IL était prêt à se battre pour le titre après avoir remporté la course préparatoire deux semaines auparavant. Il faut souligner que ce n’était que sa troisième course avec notre équipe. Il a tout de suite trouver le bon rythme et figurait comme l’un des principaux prétendants au Championnat du Monde. La malchance lui a refusé la possibilité de se battre avec Ten Brinke et Camara. En OK, après une pole position sensationnelle de Mini’, lui et Sasse ont alterné quelques très bonnes manches, dont plusieurs dans le top 3, mais nous avons souffert un peu sous la pluie. Cependant, nous pouvons être très satisfaits de nos performances en OKJ et OK et notre partenariat avec TM Racing conduit à des améliorations pertinentes course après course. Nous attendons simplement avec impatience de revenir lors de la prochaine compétition et d’essayer de nous battre à nouveau pour la victoire. »
Tracé rapide réputé pour sa difficulté et sa sélectivité, le circuit Power Park d’Alahärmä a connu des situations d’adhérence très variables en passant par tous les états possibles entre le franchement sec et le complètement mouillé. Quelques soient les conditions, les châssis Parolin ont permis à leurs pilotes d’exprimer au mieux leur talent.
Occasion manquée en OK pour Mini’
Les résultats de sa première saison en OK faisaient de Gabriele Mini’ l’un des grands favoris du Championnat du Monde 2019 à la suite de sa 2e place en Championnat d’Europe. Sur le circuit très sélectif d’Alahärmä, il ouvrait les débats en signant la pole position parmi les 88 meilleurs pilotes mondiaux. Malheureusement, le destin frappait dès le début de sa première manche. Il perdait le contrôle de son kart à la réception d’un saut sur un vibreur et devait renoncer. Le jeune espoir italien donnait le maximum pour revenir 16e des manches et regagnait encore 8 places en finale pour terminer au 8e rang. Il restait jusqu’au bout le détenteur du meilleur temps absolu de tout le meeting.
Hugo Sasse effectuait quant à lui quatre belles manches avec une 2e place et deux 3es places, mais il était également retardé au plus fort de la pluie. A la lisière du Top 10 sur la grille de départ finale, il occupait longuement la 10e position avant de chuter dans la bagarre et de terminer 19e.
Junior : Wharton était sur la bonne voie
De plus en plus performant au volant de son Parolin/TM Racing, l’Australien James Wharton commençait par réaliser le 9e chrono parmi les 104 participants du Championnat du Monde Junior. Il affirmait ensuite ses prétentions en se hissant au 4e rang à l’issue des manches qualificatives dans lesquelles il ne quittait jamais le top 3. Il réalisait un excellent début de finale en talonnant de très près le leader, sur lequel il préparait son attaque. Hélas, sa mécanique le trahissait au 5e tour de la course.
Brando Badoer et Lukas Malek partaient loin de la tête après des essais qualificatifs difficiles. Au sein d’un peloton bouillonnant, ils ne parvenaient pas à rejoindre la liste des 34 finalistes.
Ce même week-end, Rashid Al Dhaheri obtenait sa qualification pour la Super Final Rok 2019 en remportant la Rok Cup Italie sur l’Adria Karting Raceway avec son châssis Parolin.
La saison sportive est loin d’être terminée, mais Parolin va déjà commencer à affûter sa stratégie pour l’année prochaine afin de mettre en valeur la qualité unanimement reconnue de ses châssis dans de multiples catégories.
